SEAT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Manual Seat) INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:
· Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts
may injure your hands.
· There is risk of injury.
· If the front seat side airbag was deployed,
replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate
type front seatback frame sub-assembly,
separate type front seatback cover and separate
type front seatback pad with the necessary parts
in accordance with the extent of the collision
damage.
· Replace any other damaged parts as necessary.

HINT:
· Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD
vehicles.
· The procedures listed below are for LHD
vehicles.
· Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
· The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

1.INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

a. Place the front seat assembly LH in the vehicle, as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
Do not damage the front seat assembly LH, body exterior or interior parts.

b. Attach the wire harness clamp.

c. Connect the connector.

d. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


Connect the front seat airbag assembly LH
connector.

e. Temporarily install the front seat assembly LH with


the 4 bolts.

f. Operate the seat track handle sub-assembly LH to


slide the front seat assembly LH rearmost position.

g. Tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of front seat


assembly LH in the order shown in the illustration.
Torque:
37 N*m (377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf)

h. Operate the seat track handle sub-assembly LH to


slide the front seat assembly LH to the frontmost
position.

i. Tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of front seat


assembly LH in the order shown in the illustration.
Torque:
37 N*m (377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf)

2.INSTALL FRONT SEAT REAR INNER TRACK COVER LH (w/ Cover) 72138H

a. Push in installation direction (1) shown in the


illustration to attach the guide.

b. Push in installation direction (2) shown in the


illustration to attach the claw and install the front
seat rear inner track cover LH.

3.INSTALL FRONT SEAT REAR OUTER TRACK COVER LH (w/ Cover) 72138J

a. Push in installation direction (1) shown in the illustration to attach the guide.

b. Push in installation direction (2) shown in the illustration to attach the claw and install the front seat rear outer
track cover LH.

c. Operate the seat track handle sub-assembly LH to slide the front seat assembly LH to the center position.

4.CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

5.PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

for AIRBAG SYSTEM (for Type A):
