Greeting everyone, my name is Vanshika Tandon and I’m a research scholar

studying in Christ….
along with me my co-authors Mr. Dhruv Jain, prof Blesson James and prof

First of all, I would like to thank BNMIT for giving us opportunity to present
our research paper titled “The Mediating Role of Entrepreneurial Self-
Efficacy and Network Connections in Fostering Entrepreneurial
Intentions: A Study of Entrepreneurial Education and University
Support”
INTRO
Since we know that the entrepreneurial landscape is booming, but what
fuels the spark? This research delves into the key factors driving
entrepreneurial intentions, specifically focusing on the interplay between
entrepreneurial education, university support, self-efficacy, and network
connections.
And according to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor report in 2022, it
revealed a 10.6% Total Early-Stage Entrepreneurial Activity in 2021,
highlighting the need for further initiatives.

• Entrepreneurial Success Factors: People’s Knowledge, abilities, and
mindset along with comprehensive support is needed to equip
individuals for ventures.
• University Programs for Entrepreneurship: Resourceful support which
means universities offer programs providing mentorship, resources, and
crucial support for fostering entrepreneurial skills.
• Networks for Entrepreneurs: through connectivity benefits such as
Physical and virtual networks, offering advantages through knowledge-
sharing and connections.
• Role of Self-Efficacy and Education: by intricating interactions between
these elements that shape individuals' aspirations.
• Importance of Networks and Support: Networks and support from
universities facilitate the complex interplay between self-efficacy and
education. Their role highlights the need for comprehensive assistance in
entrepreneurship.
• Complex Nature of Entrepreneurship: The interplay of self-efficacy,
education, networks, and support underscores the complexity of
entrepreneurship. All-encompassing assistance and potent educational
initiatives are essential for success.
Research Gap
Our central question is: How do entrepreneurial education and university
support programs influence students' entrepreneurial intentions, and to what
extent are these effects mediated by entrepreneurial self-efficacy and network
connections?
By examining the complex interactions and mediating mechanisms, the study
seeks to close this knowledge gap and provide theoretical and practical
recommendations for improving entrepreneurship support programs within
the framework of Indian university education.
Research Objective
This research is guided by the following objectives:
• To identify the impact of entrepreneurial education and university
support on entrepreneurial intentions.
• To examine the mediating role of entrepreneurial self-efficacy in the
relationship between entrepreneurial education and university support
and entrepreneurial intentions.
• To inquire into the mediating role of entrepreneurial networks in the
relationship between entrepreneurial education and university support
and entrepreneurial intentions.
Research Hypothesis
Only Entrepreneurship Self-Efficacy 🡪 Entrepreneurship Intention -
Supported
Bcoz most of the students do not utilize resources provides by the university
efficiently, they mainly focus on external material

Research Methodology
To answer this, we conducted a comprehensive study involving
• Data Collection: Employed purposive sampling for young adults (18-25)
in India, distributing a structured questionnaire on online platforms in
March 2023.
• Data Analysis Tools: Utilized SPSS and AMOS for Confirmatory Factor
Analysis (CFA), descriptive analysis, regression coefficients, Cronbach's
alpha, and variable reliability assessments.
• We also collected Descriptive Statistics which includes gender, academic
disciplines and challenges faced by youth in entrepreneurship initiation.
• Coming towards the KMO TEST (Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin Test) which
indicated sampling adequacy for factor analysis with a KMO value of
0.768.
• Also, the Discriminant Validity Established to ensure confidence intervals
between constructs was not equal to 1.
• Lastly using Structural Equation Model (SEM) we examined the impact of
independent variables on dependent variables, supporting or rejecting
hypotheses based on p-values
Analysis & Interpretations
The overall study explores those major responses where from male comprising
61.9% and female 38.1%
As we can see through the pie chart Challenges faced by youth include lack of
funding, knowledge, skills, regulatory barriers, market competition, and social
and cultural barriers.
The study also found indirect effects of Entrepreneurship Self-Efficacy (ESE) and
Entrepreneurship Network (EN) on Entrepreneurial Intention (EI)
FINDINGS AND IMPLICATIONS
Direct links between Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy and Entrepreneurial
Intentions were found to be weak, with network connections playing a crucial
role in mediating this relationship.
The crucial role of entrepreneurial intentions in entrepreneurship is
underscored by the need for effective support programs that foster
entrepreneurial growth and success.
CONCLUSION
Lastly, we can conclude that the entrepreneurial ecosystem is influenced by
various factors, including Entrepreneurship Network and Entrepreneurship Self-
Efficacy. These mediating functions play a crucial role in shaping
entrepreneurial intentions, providing insights for support and education
programs.
