Part A: Selecting The project and Team

1. How many alternatives we thought before finalizing the project topic?

We Considered three Alternatives before Finalizing this Topic which were as Stated Below:

•Deforestation Detection and Alert Generation Through Machine Learning

•Flood Detection and Alert Generation Through Machine Learning
•Diet Plan Prediction from submitted Physical Data

2. Did we consider all the technical fields related to branch of our diploma Programme?
Yes, we evaluated the relevance of each topic across the spectrum of fields in our Diploma
Programme .

3. Why we found the present topic as most appropriate?

The present topic seems the most relevant as it is not only related to our studies but also
paves the way for more innovation and resources.

4. Whether all the group members agreed on the present project topic? If not? What were
the reasons of their disagreements?
Most Agreed but one among all felt that the first idea about Deforestation Detection and Alert
Generation Using Machine Learning was a wider application. After Discussion we opted the
topic with most relevance.

5. Whether the procedure followed in assessing alternatives and finalizing the project was
correct? If not, discuss the reasons.
Our approach was systematic, but in hindsight, more initial research could have streamlined
the process.

6. What were the limitations in other alternatives of project topic?

The other topics were already implemented on large scale and the idea behind them had
narrow focus.

7. How we formed our Team?

We formed our team by following the general group formation prototype of our section and
mutual interest.

8. Whether we faced any problem in forming the team? If yes, then what was the
problem? and how was it resolved?
No, we didn’t face any problem in forming the team.

9. Am I the leader of our project team? If yes, then why was I chosen? If not, why I could
not become the project team leader?
No, I’m not the Leader, I felt my strengths are good enough in providing major backend
support.

10. Do I feel that present team leader is the best choice available in the group? If yes, why?
If not, then why?
Yes, Our leader has excellent organizational and Communications skills which are necessary
at every point in our project development.
11. According to me who should be the leader of the team and why?
I think the present leader is the right choice due to her Ability to skill sets and Leadership
Qualities.

12. Can we achieve the targets set in the project work within the time and cost limits?
With the current resource and dedication I feel optimistic that we will achieve our goals.

13. What are my significant good/ bad sharable experiences while working with my team
Which provoked me to think? What I learned from these experiences?
Good: The diverse perspectives in our team led to innovative solutions.
Bad: There were initial conflicts on task allocation.
From this, I learned the importance of open communication and flexibility.

14. Any other reflection which I would like to write about formation of team and
finalization of project title, if any?
Ensuring everyone is able to convey his/her point perfectly as these communication ethics
will lead to more outcomes of project.
Part B: Reflection related to project planning
1. Which activities are having maximum risk and uncertainty in our project plan?
The data integration from multiple sources and ensuring data security during the procedure
have the maximum risk and uncertainty. Additionally, user acceptance testing can be
uncertain as it depends on end-user feedback.

2. What are most important activities in our project plan?

Data cleansing, designing the Power BI visuals, setting up real-time data updates, and
training staff on how to use the dashboard effectively are the most crucial activities.

3. Is work distribution is equal for all project group members? If not? What are the
reasons? How we can improve work distribution? Is it possible to complete the project
in given time? If not what are the reasons for it?
No, work distribution isn't equal. The reasons include varied expertise among members and
the differing complexity of tasks. For example, members with expertise in Power BI might
have a heavier load. To improve, we can involve more team members in design discussions
and data cleansing. As for project completion, it seems tight but achievable with proper
coordination.

4. How can we ensure that project is completed within time.

By setting clear milestones, conducting regular progress checks, allocating additional
resources to critical tasks, and ensuring open communication among team members.

5. What extra precaution and care should be taken in executing the activities of high risk
and uncertainty? If possible, how such risks and uncertainties can be reduced?
For data integration and security, ensuring encrypted channels, backup processes, and using
mock data for initial tests are vital. Regular review sessions with stakeholders can help in
reducing uncertainties during user acceptance testing.

6. Can we reduce the total cost associated with the project? If yes, then describe the ways?
Possibly, by utilizing open-source tools for parts of the data processing and seeking discounts
on Power BI licenses for educational institution.

7. For which activities of our project plan, arrangement of resources is not easy?
Securing advanced Power BI training for staff and integrating disparate data sources can be
resource-intensive.

8. Did we make enough provisions of extra time/expenditure etc. to carry activities?

We’ve allocated a buffer for data integration and user training, but it might be worth
revisiting our estimates based on recent feedback.

9. Did we make enough provisions for time delays in our project activity?
We’ve factored in a few days for unexpected issues, but data cleansing and user feedback
rounds are where we anticipate the most delays.

10. In our project schedule, which are the days of more expenditure?
The days allocated for advanced Power BI training, purchasing licenses, and the final
deployment phase will be the costliest.

11. Any other reflection which I would like to write about project planning?
In hindsight, early stakeholder involvement could have better shaped our initial plans,
especially regarding the dashboard's design. Additionally, regular training sessions
throughout might ease the transition for staff, rather than one extensive session at the end.
