Systems Engineer is responsible for delivering and operating various datacenter
infrastructure services for our customer – a leading video game industry company from
the US. Systems Engineer would be in charge of operating our customer’s large-scale
geographically distributed private cloud platform, comprising of multiple storage
systems with Petabytes in space, HCI systems and VMware clusters.
Responsibilities:
Providing day-to-day operations and technical support for the customer throughout their
service lifecycle
Development and maintenance of various tools for managing and automating
customer’s private cloud platform in an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) manner
Continuous education and occasional certification related to the technologies used in
day-to-day work
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in a systems engineer position, preferably in a consulting
company, telcо/cloud provider or medium/large enterprise
Experience in managing datacenter infrastructure - servers, storage systems and SAN
administration
Experience in VMware vSphere
Experience in administration of backup infrastructure (e.g. Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik)
Experience in Windows and Linux Server administration
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking basics
Knowledge of information security good practices in cloud environments
Fluency in spoken and written English
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
Previous experience with NetApp FAS storage systems
Previous experience with HCI solutions (e.g. vSAN, VxRail, Nutanix)
Experience with infrastructure automation, scripting or IaC tool (eg. PowerShell, bash,
Ansible, Terraform)
IT certifications (e.g. VMware, CompTIA etc.)
