OMRON_MESA protocol extension
Description
This document describe new commands for reading and writing set points and actual values for
quenching.
New commands
For reading two new command are added:
1. For reading actual value for quenching: @uuRAccff*<CR>
2. For reading set point value for quenching: @uuRCccff*<CR>
For writing one command is added:
1. For writing quenching set point: @uuWCccnnnnnnff*<CR>
@ → start character
uu → unit id, unit address
RA, RC, WC → command strings
cc → channel number, in out case is “00”
nnnnnn → integer value for quenching set point with leading zeros. Range is from 0 to 120°C
Quenching set point written through communication protocol is remote set point and it is not saved in
EEPROM. After Mcon reset and if device use remote set point, device will take set point from general
settings in furnace menu.
Omron protocol and second address
Second address is implemented in order to simulate temperature controller for quenching. For this
purpose some new commands are implemented:
1. Parameter read
1. Read actual value, read from address 00
2. Read remote set point, read from address 01
3. Read input type, read from address 57
2. Parameter write
1. Write remote set point, write to address 01
3. Special command
1. Read status, command code is 14
