1) INTRODUCTION: ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Construction of Twin Tunnel by Shield TBM, Cut & Cover Tunnel Box and one underground station
namely Dhansa Stand including Architectural Finishing, Water Supply, Sanitary Installation & Drainage
Works from chainage 4121.350 to 5340.00 for extension of Dwarka Najafgarh Metro Corridor of Phase-III
Delhi MRTS Project 'CC-126' is passing through a populated area occupied by old and new existing
buildings. These buildings are subjected to disturbance by the underground construction activities like
tunnel excavation, cut & cover stations and ramps etc.

A detailed condition assessment survey is therefore required to be carried out for all buildings falling in
the influence zone of tunnel alignment as per Tender Document Part IV section 2.10- Settlement &
Building Protection, Sub Section 2.10.4 Structure Condition Survey, page no. 000946 & 000947.

2) SCOPE OF WORK:

The scope of works includes carrying out building condition survey in the influence zone of tunnel
alignment, cut and cover area and retrieval shaft area. The survey includes identification of defects,
damages and their representation. Based on the types and severity of defects and damages, the building
condition has been categorized as per Tender Document Part IV Table 2.10.1: Building Damage
Category, page no. 000949.
