12. When you add an object in your design, it is placed on the workplane by default. How do you
shift an object above or below the workplane? [TB]
Ans: You can move an object upwards or downwards by clicking the conical arrow and
dragging it above or below the workplane.

13. What is the Mirror tool used for in Tinkercad? Explain with the help of an Example. [TB]
Ans: The Mirror or Flip tool in Tinkercad is used to create a mirrored copy of an object,
reflecting it along a chosen axis. This is useful for creating symmetrical designs.
Example:
Create or Select an Object: Suppose you have created a 3D model of half a butterfly wing.
Use the Mirror Tool: Select the wing, then click on the Mirror tool (it looks like two
triangles).
Choose the Axis: Select the axis (X, Y, or Z) along which you want to mirror the wing. For a
butterfly, you'd choose the vertical axis (Y-axis).
Complete the Mirror: The tool will create a mirrored copy of the wing, placing it on the
opposite side. Now you have a complete, symmetrical butterfly with two wings.

14. Describe two ways to view an object from different angles. [TB]
Ans:
● View cube: It allows you to view an object placed on the workplane in six different
ways i.e. front, back, left, right, top and bottom. You can view any side of the object
by just clicking on the respective side of the cube.
● Home view: It provides the default view of all the objects present on the workplane.
It shows the object when looked at from the top-front side.

15. Given below is the image of an object placed on the workplane. What is the length, width and
height of the object? [TB]

Ans: Length = 42mm, width = 52mm and height = 21mm
