SERBIA – Work Permit
STEP 1: INITIATION
Client initiates case with FGI. FGI assesses work permit category and sends document checklist to
the client. Client sends the documents listed on the checklist to FGI.
STEP 2: VISA APPLICATION
FGI prepares the work permit application to correspond with the National Employment Service to
demonstrate that no Serbians are available to fill the position in question. The application is then
submitted online.
Processing time: 30 days
STEP 3: ENTRY TO SERBIA
Once the visa has been affixed to the passport, the foreign national may travel to Serbia.
STEP 4: ADDRESS REGISTRATION
Upon arriving to Serbia, the foreign national must register their address at the Police
Headquarters.
STEP 5: TEMPORARY RESIDENCE PERMIT
After obtaining a white card, a request for a temporary residence permit can be submitted.
STEP 5: WORK PERMIT APPLICATION
Once the temporary residence is obtained, the request for the work permit can be submitted.
