Evaluation should be performed for the following tasks:
Searching for products
Buying products
Paying for the products
1-) Evaluate the user interface with the basic usability criteria:
Time to learn
Speed of performance
Rate of user errors
Retention of skills
Subjective satisfaction
At least 3 (three) users with different characteristics must be involved in the user interface
evaluation.
For the first two criteria, either 'seconds' or 'minutes' can be used as the time measurement.
For the other three criteria, 'poor,' 'fair,' and 'good' can be used as the measures.
2-) Evaluate the interface for the following topics:
Navigating the interface
Organizing the display
Getting the user’s attention
Facilitating the data entry
Consider the following sub topics inyour evaluation:
1. Appropriateness and consistency of terminology.
2. Understandability and consistency of commands.
3. Appropriateness of the order of the images
4. Appropriateness of the error messages.
5. Ease of correcting errors.
6. Your suggestions for improving the interface.
7. Positive features you found regarding the interface.
In your evaluation, rate the first five sub topics on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 = very poor, 2 = poor, 3
= fair, 4 = good, 5 = very good). For the sixth and seventh topics, please provide your comments
in text form.
For all basic four topics, you have provide at least three examples to support your evaluation
considering the sub topics.
Approved or assigned sites will be announced by 18th October at EGEDERS.
