NOTES TO THE TEACHER: In this part of the lesson, the teacher shows pictures
of ripe mango and banana while singing the song respectively. He/She may show
actual ripe mango and banana if available. In other area where the fruits used are
not familiar, the teacher may contextualize the song by using fruits common to
their area with names starting with “m” and “s”.

NOTES TO THE TEACHER: In this part of the lesson, the teacher provides
learners with what they should know, understand, and be able to do in the lesson.

(5 minutes) (Give cut-outs of fruits and vegetables to the learners. In
this activity, learners will be asked to find their partners to
form the picture.)
Teacher: Magkakaroon muna tayo ng isang gawaing
pinamagatang, “Hanapin mo ang Kalahati ko!” Narito ang
ating mga gagawin:
1. Bibigyan ko kayo ng mga cut-outs ng mga prutas at
gulay.
2. Hahanapin ninyo ang inyong kapares na may hawak
ng kalahati ng cut-out na naibigay sa inyo upang
makabuo kayo ng larawan.
3. Idikit ang mabubuong larawan sa pisara.
(After the activity, ask the learners to name the pictures
posted on the board. Post the name of the fruit or
vegetable written on a strip beside the picture.)
Teacher: Pangalanan ulit ang mga larawan at idikit ang
mga pangalan ng larawan sa tabi ng mga ito.
(Ask the following questions every after they post the word
strip on the board.)

NOTES TO THE TEACHER: The teacher facilitates how the learners post the
pictures on the blackboard. There should be two columns. In the first column, the
arrangement of cut-outs should be: mais, mani, melon, mangga, malunggay, and
mustasa. In the second column, the arrangement of cut-outs should be: sili, suha,
sitaw, santol, saging, and sampalok. After the last question, give emphasis on
individual differences that each learner has his or her own preference.

words with initial sounds of the letters Mm and Ss. He/ She is encouraged to use
words common to their context.

may also add more words with initial sounds of the letters Mm and Ss. He/ She
is encouraged to use words common to their context.
