Needle-nose pliers, also known as long-nose pliers and snipe-nose pliers, are both cutting and

holding pliers used by artisans, jewellery designers, electricians, network engineers and other
tradesmen to bend, re-position and snip wire.

Diagonal pliers are pliers intended for the cutting of wire. The plane defined by the cutting edges of
the jaws intersects the joint rivet at an angle or "on a diagonal", hence the name.

A Soldering Iron is a hand tool used in soldering. It supplies heat to melt solder so that it can flow
into the joint between two workpieces. A soldering iron is composed of a heated metal tip and an
insulated handle.

Tweezers are small hand tools used for grasping objects too small to be easily handled with the
human fingers. Tweezers are thumb-driven forceps most likely derived from tongs used to grab or hold
hot objects since the dawn of recorded history.

A screwdriver is a tool, manual or powered, used for turning screws.


A punch down tool, punchdown tool, IDC tool, or a Krone tool, is a small hand tool
used by telecommunication and network technicians. It is used for inserting wire into insulation-
displacement connectors on punch down blocks, patch panels, keystone modules, and surface mount
boxes.

A Hex Key is a simple driver for bolts or screws that have heads with internal hexagonal recesses.
Hex keys are formed from a single piece of hard hexagonal steel rod, having blunt ends that fit snugly
into similarly-shaped screw sockets. The rods are bent to 90º, forming two arms of unequal length
resembling an "L".

A Multimeter is a measuring instrument that can measure multiple electrical properties. A typical
multimeter can measure voltage, resistance, and current, in which case can be used as a voltmeter,
ammeter, and ohmmeter. Some feature the measurement of additional properties such as temperature
and capacitance.

A Wire Stripper is a small, hand-held device used to strip the electrical insulation from electric
wires.
