Who we are...
stlb™ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to
empowering individuals who are blind or visually impaired
by providing meaningful employment opportunities.
Our mission is to foster independence through these
opportunities, enabling our employees to lead productive
lives.

We take pride in employing individuals who are blind or

visually impaired, offering them the chance to grow within
the organization through our upward mobility program,
which opens doors to higher-level management positions.

In addition to employment, we focus on educating

the community about blind etiquette and creating
inclusive, accessible environments for people with visual
impairments and other disabilities. Through our efforts,
we strive to empower our employees to pursue their
goals, live with confidence, and embrace life with hope,
optimism, and determination.

How you can help...

We invite you to make a meaningful impact in the lives
of those we serve through financial contributions, in-kind
donations, participation in our events, or by volunteering
your time. Your support plays a vital role in helping us
fulfill our mission to empower individuals who are blind or
visually impaired.

Dear Players and Donors,

On behalf of the entire team, I want

to extend my heartfelt thanks to
each of you for your tremendous
support of our Birdies for the
Blind Golf Tournament. This event
is a celebration of community,
generosity, and our shared belief in
creating opportunities for the blind and visually impaired. Your
participation—whether swinging the club or contributing as a
sponsor or donor—has made a significant impact.

Our mission at STLB is to break down barriers, foster inclusivity,

and empower individuals who are blind or visually impaired. The
funds raised through this tournament will directly support programs
that provide job training, education, and access to resources
that enable people to lead independent and fulfilling lives. Your
contributions will make a lasting difference, offering hope and
opportunities to those we serve.

I am excited for the future and the positive change we will continue
to create together. From all of us at South Texas Lighthouse for the
Blind, thank you again for your support, and we look forward to
seeing you on the course again next year.

With gratitude,

Nicki Ooi
