Unit test 6
Audio script
Nina I write fiction because I like to use my
imagination. Sometimes I imagine
living in another place and being another
person and it helps me create a
character. What do you write?
David Personally, I prefer non-fiction because I
don’t seem to have much of an
imagination, but I am, instead, very good
at researching and writing about topics.
What kind of fiction do you write?
Nina I write mysteries.
David Scary mysteries?
Nina They can be scary, yes. I have quite a
dark imagination, I suppose. I try to get
the reader to guess who did what and
why. What types of non-fiction topics do
you write about?
David I write about strange accidents that
happened.
Nina So, you write the facts of cases. I am sure
your readers want to find out what
happened and why?
David Yes, the facts and, also, the theories of
what happened, and why the person
involved did what he or she did and so
on. I especially like writing about
accidents that are also mysteries
because I find mysterious accidents
fascinating.
Nina Your research might be scarier than my
imagination. I don’t think I’d like to know
what terrible things can happen in
accidents!
David Well, they do say that facts are stranger
than fiction and some of the facts about
mysterious accidents I’ve researched
are terrifying!
