Subject :- MATH
Q.1 Fill in the blank.
1] Solid shapes are three dimensional shapes having three measurements.
2] A solid has faces edges and vertices.
3] A vertex is a point where the edges meet.
4] A cuboid has 6 faces, 12 edges and 8 vertices.
5] A sphere has only one curved face. It has no vertices and no edges.
6] A cone has one plane and one curved face.
7] Matchbox is an example of a cuboid shape.
8] A cylinder is a solid shape with 2 edges.
9] A cube has 6 identical faces.
10] A cylinder has 3 faces.
11] A face of full moon circle.
12] A page of your book rectangle.
13] A brick has 12 edges.
14] A ball has 1 faces.
15] one hundred thousand bricks = 1 lakh bricks.
16] The standard unit of length of metre.
17] 1 metre = 100 centimetres.
18] A large unit of length for measuring distance is kilometer.
19] We use cm to measure things like pencil, geometry box, notebook etc…
20] We use m to use cloth, length of the room, width of the street etc…
21] We use km to measure distance between two villages or towns.
22]1 km = 1000 metres.
Q.2 Calculate mentally and write the answer.
1] If one brick costs Rs. 15, then 20 bricks cost Rs. 15 × 20 = rs.300
2] If the cost of 1 brick is Rs.5, then cost of 2000 bricks is Rs 5 × 2000 = rs.10000
Q.3 Match the column.
1] Cuboid i] one vertex
2] Cube ii] Matchbox
3] Cone iii] Only one face
4] Cylinder iv] Dice
5] Sphere v] 2 circular edges
Ans. [1 – ii] [2- iv] [3- i] [4- v] [5 – iii]

Q.4 Conversion of metre to kilometer.

a] 1000m = _____ km b] 1550 m = _______km

1 m = 1000 km 1m = 1000km
So, = 1000 so = 1550
1000 1000
= 1 km. = 1 km 550m
Q.5 Conversion of metre to centimeter
a] 5m b] 12m
1 m = 100 cm 1m = 100cm
So, 5 × 100 = So, 12 × 100
= 500cm = 1200cm

Q.6 Conversion of metre.

a] 7 km 800 m b] 5 km 500 m
1km = 1000 m 1km = 1000m
So, 7 × 1000 = 7000m So, 5 × 1000 = 5000m
7000 + 800 = 7800m 5000 + 500 = 5500

Q.6 Using a rule draw lines of following measurements.

A] 5 cm b] 3cm

Q.7 Make any two wall patterns using bricks.

Q.8 I am a solid shape. What am I ?

1] New shoes are packed inside me. Cuboid.

2] You wear me on your head in a birthday party. Cone
3] You cannot balance anything on me. Sphere
4] I am filled with gas for cooking your food. Cylinder
5] People make dots on me and then play Ludo. Cube
