Practice counting on. When we’re trying to figure out addition
problems we count on. Go around the board adding on 1, then
2, then 3. Color in each spot you land on. Start is 0. The first thing
you’ll do is add 1. So, you will color in 1. Then you will add 2. So,
you will count 1-2 and land on 3 and color in the number 3 space.
You can keep track of what you are adding by crossing off the
numbers at the bottom of the page.

Cut it out in one big rectangle. Fold in half
longways. Then fold it in half between the 70
and 80 and the 30 and 40. Then snip along the
middle to separate the 70 from the 40 and the
80 from the 30. The 30 and 40 will be back to
back. The 80 and 70 will be back to back. You
can do that by pinching this and the 90 in one
hand and the 50 and 60 in the other. Then
bring your hands together.

Cut out the ice cream cone with the 11 scoop. Cut out each number scoop and stack them — make
a tall ice cream cone. (Or you could staple them in a stack) Color the ice cream scoops in different
flavors.

Cut out each rectangle separately. Stack shortest to longest and staple along the top. You hopefully
can see 0—9 along the bottom. I help my son know what number comes next by asking him what
comes after 3 and then he can say 4 and then can figure out 24 is next. There is also room on most
pieces for your child to write the number.

The back of 91 gets attached to the
lapbook. Start at the 100 and fold along
the lines into triangles. Keep folding on
the lines, folding the triangle over and
over itself. Write, or cut and glue, the
even numbers to the backs of the
triangles. 90 will go on the back of 93.
