Social media is something that everyone should be able to enjoy. It is a place that you can self promote
and grow a business with. Social media can be a good or bad thing for a person’s mental health
dependent on how they plan on using it.If you are planning on using social media as a tool to grow a
business or connect with people that would benefit you or your company that is a good use of social
media that can have a positive effect on your mental and emotional health. On the flip side if you are using
social media as a place where you can hid behind a screen and use it for the bad such as bullying can
cause it to be a waste. Also, social media isn’t the best for teenagers because we are trying to figure out
what we want to be and who we are and a million other things, and if we look at our for you page on
instagram showing all of the model like girls we might become self conscious and never have peace with
ourselves bc in our eyes we will never be like them. Parents can help teens with social media by watching
the profile and set up a contract with boundaries that can keep the person safe but still have freedom on
their app. As a teen and/or an adult you can regulate how you spend your time on social media. You can
choose to promote yourself and/or company or you can waste your time scrolling through you for you
page when you could be out increasing your mental health status by exercising.
