Way back in the beginning, the Guiding Hand help create Cybertron...
before one of them, Adaptus, turns on the others. He wipes their
memories; makes a getaway using Luna 1, the larger of Cybertron's two moons, as a ship; and spends the next few million years
preparing to fight a malevolent, planet-sized robot (no, not that one) that he sees during a brief, unplanned visit to the future.
Team Rodimus encounters Adaptus moments before the Functionist Council make the journey from their universe into ours. The Council
are piloting their home planet—another Cybertron—which they've given an alt mode and a name, Primus, after their god.
Rodimus learns that during the course of their quest the Crusadercons have in fact met all the other members of the Guiding Hand—
including the REAL Primus, a.k.a. Rung. As the Functionist 'Primus' bears down on the Lost Light, a plan is hatched: Rung will create a
dozen Matrixes that, if opened at key points on Cybertron's surface, will destroy the Council without harming the planet itself or the
innocents inside.
There's just one problem...
