Agenda: Deliberation upon the increasing human rights violations by digital and online communities and ways to counter it with special
emphasis on illicit trades and markets on the dark web.
Country: Ukraine
Ukraine is one of the democratic country states in Europe that is securing human rights as a national policy, as well as securing rights of
national minorities. Ukraine strongly believes that every person in the country should have equal human rights because everyone is equal for
God so why to discriminate and violate the human rights. My country has gone through a lot of rough time where they were facing human
rights violation but as being a delegate of my country, Ukraine I can proudly standby with all courage that my country has fought against the
human right violation and it’s touching the new heights. Ukraine has taken a lot of steps in order to fight against the human rights violation.
It's essential to recognize that reporting and documenting human rights violations can be challenging during times of conflict and political
instability. Additionally, the human rights situation may vary across different regions within Ukraine.
Following are the few actions my country has taken to fight against the human right violation:
Ukraine has established national human rights institutions like the Office of the Ombudsperson, which is responsible for monitoring
and addressing human rights violations within the country.
Ukraine has taken steps to combat discrimination by implementing anti-discrimination legislatures.
Ukraine has taken steps to address violence against women, including adopting legislation to protect victims of domestic violence and
establishing support services and shelters for survivors.
Ukraine has been working on criminal justice reforms to improve the fairness and efficiency of its judicial system. These reforms are to
aimed at safeguarding the right to a fair trial and ensuring due process.
Suggesting for the International Community or Possible Solutions for implementation by the United Nations.
By taking a comprehensive and proactive approach, Ukraine can work towards promoting a safe and inclusive digital environment
while upholding human rights standards
Collaborate with other countries and international organizations to address cross-border human rights violations and share best
practices in dealing with digital and online community issues.
Encourage and work with online platforms to implement effective content moderation policies and procedures. This includes clear
guidelines on what constitutes a human rights violation, efficient reporting mechanisms, and a transparent appeals process for
content takedowns.
