1. Insert the Windows XP installation CD into the CD/DVD drive.
2. Boot your computer from the CD by adjusting the boot order in
the BIOS settings.

Configuration:
1. After installation, you'll be prompted to create a user account
and set up your regional and network settings.
2. Install device drivers for your hardware components.
3. Activate Windows XP by entering the product key.
4. Install antivirus software and keep it updated.

Installation of utility tools(software)

Step 1:Insert the "Software DVD-ROM" into a computer.

Step 2:When [AutoPlay] is displayed, click [Run Setup.exe].

Step 3:Select a language from the drop-down list.

Step 4:Read the license agreement, and then click [Accept].

Step 5Read Environmental advice for Users and click [Next].

Step 6:Select [Network (Wired/Wireless)] or [USB] corresponding

to your connection environment, and then click [Next].

Step 7:Select the model name of this machine, and then click
[Next].

Firewall con昀椀guration, antivirus/internet security loading
and con昀椀guration procedure

Step 1: Secure your firewall

If an attacker is able to gain administrative access to your firewall it

is “game over”

Step 2: Architect your firewall zones and IP addresses

In order to protect the valuable assets on your network, you should

first identify what the assets are (for example, payment card data
or patient data). Then plan out your network structure so that
these assets can be grouped together and placed into networks (or
zones) based on similar sensitivity level and function.

Step 3: Configure access control lists

Now that you have established your network zones and assigned
them to interfaces, you should determine exactly which traffic
needs to be able to flow into and out of each zone.

Make sure to disable all unencrypted protocols for firewall

management, including Telnet and HTTP connections.

INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION OF I/O DEVICES-
PRINTERS, WEBCAMS, SCANNERS
# Installation and con昀椀guration of printer
(Installation)

Step 1:Plug in your scanner to a power source and turn it

on.You need it powered on so your computer can detect it.

Step 2:Connect your scanner to your computer with a USB

cable.Using the USB cable that came with your scanner, plug
it into an open USB port on your computer. If you don't have
a USB cable that came with your scanner, usually any USB
cable will work.

Step 3:Plug in your scanner to a power source and turn it on

(if it's not already on).You need it powered on so your
computer can detect it.

Step 4:Open your Windows Settings.You can do so on

Windows 10 and 11 by clicking the Start menu and
selecting Settings or the gear icon.

Step 5:Click devices (Windows 10) or bluetooth and

devices(Windows 11).On Windows 10, you'll see this with an

icon of a speaker and keyboard in the second column. On

Windows 11, you'll see it in the left panel.

Step 6:Click printers and scanner You'll see this in the vertical
menu on the left side of the window.

Step 7:Click add a printer or a scannerYou'll see this at the

top of the window.

(Configuration)
1. Open the Start menu. Click the Start button in the taskbar
at the bottom of your desktop screen to pull up system
options.

2. It the gear shaped icon near the bottom-left corner of the

menu.

3. Click devices. This appears in the settings menu and pulls

up the options for connecting devices to your pc

4. Select printers and scanners. From this menu you 'll be

able to pull up the different options for searching for the
printer you want to set up.

5. Click add a printer this will being up a dialog box that will
alert you to window scanning for any nearby printer you
printer should pop up after a few minutes of scanning.

If you don’t see you printers, click the printer that I

want isn’t listed and follow the on- screen
instructions for manually connecting you printer.

Click add device. This will complete the process of setting up

the connection between you pc and the printer

Charge or Insert Batteries:

1. Charge the Battery (if applicable):
• If your digital camera has a rechargeable battery, charge it using the
provided charger. Skip this step if your camera uses disposable
batteries.

• If your camera uses disposable batteries, insert the required

batteries following the manufacturer's instructions.

Insert Memory Card:

2. Insert a Memory Card (if applicable):

If your digital camera uses a memory card for storage, insert a
compatible memory card into the designated slot. Refer to the
camera's manual for the correct orientation.

Connect the Camera to Your Computer:

3. Connect via USB Cable:

Use the provided USB cable to connect the digital camera to an
available USB port on your computer. Ensure a secure connection.

Configure Camera Settings:

4. Access Files on the Camera:

Once connected, your digital camera should appear as a removable

storage device on your computer. Open the file explorer (Windows)
or Finder (Mac) to access the camera's files.

5. Transfer Photos (Optional):

Copy or move photos from the camera to your computer. You can
organize them into folders as needed.

➢ USB WI-FI

• Locate an Available USB Port: Look for a free USB port on your computer or
laptop. USB ports are typically located on the sides or back of the device. If
you’re using a desktop computer, the USB ports may be located on the front
panel as well.

• Insert the Adapter: Gently insert the USB WiFi adapter into the USB port.
Make sure to push it all the way in until it is securely connected. You may
hear a click sound or see a LED light up on the adapter to indicate that it is
properly inserted.

Connect to a Wireless Network

• Open Network Settings: Locate the network settings on your device. On most
operating systems, you can find this by clicking on the network icon in the
system tray or by navigating to the network settings in the control panel or
system preferences.

• Scan for Networks: In the network settings, click on the option to scan for
available WiFi networks. Your USB WiFi adapter will detect nearby
networks and display them in a list.

the network’s security key or password. Enter the correct credentials and
click on the “Connect” button.

• Wait for Connection: Your device will attempt to connect to the selected
network using the USB WiFi adapter. It may take a few moments to establish
a connection. Once connected, you will see a confirmation message or an
icon indicating a successful connection

➢ USB BT

Install new Bluetooth adapter

To install the new Bluetooth adapter on Windows 10, use these steps:

Connect the new Bluetooth adapter to a USB port on the computer.

1. Allow Windows 10 to detect and install the driver automatically.
After you complete the steps, it's recommended to check the new short-
range wireless radio is configured and working correctly.

Check new adapter

To determine whether the Bluetooth adapter was correctly recognized, use
these steps:

1. Open Settings.
2. Click on Devices.
3. Click on Bluetooth & other devices.

4. Confirm the Bluetooth toggle switch is available.

If the toggle switch is available, the device is correctly installed. Otherwise, if
you only see an "Add Bluetooth or other device" button, there is a problem
adding the short-range wireless radio adapter.

➢ Projector

Installation of Projector Hardware:

1. Unpack the Projector:

Remove the projector from its packaging and ensure all included
components (power cables, remote control, etc.) are present.

2. Connect Power:

Plug in the projector to a power source using the provided power cable.
Some projectors may have a separate power brick.

3. Connect Video Source:

Power on the projector using the power button on the projector or the
remote control.

7. Focus the Image:

• Adjust the focus ring on the projector lens to make the projected
image sharp and clear.

8. Position and Align the Image:

• Use the projector's zoom and keystone correction features, if

available, to properly position and align the projected image on the
screen or projection surface.

Multiple Operating Systems Loading And
Troubleshooting

Installing Multiple Operating Systems:

1. Create a Bootable USB/DVD:

Obtain installation media for each operating system you
want to install and create bootable USB drives or DVDs.

2. Allocate Disk Space:

Use your computer's disk management tools to allocate
separate partitions for each operating system. Ensure
there is enough space for each OS.

3. Install Operating Systems:

• Install each operating system on its designated partition.

Follow the installation prompts, create user accounts,
and configure settings.

4. Install Boot Loader:

• The last OS installed usually installs a boot loader (such
