TEAM NAME & PROJECT TITLE: Pseudo Group – Inventory System

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

We want to create a system that helps manage inventory. Users can register,
and the system will check their data carefully. It will also make sure only authorized
people can log in. The system will be easy to use and provide real-time reports for
decision-making.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE

1. Inventory Tracking Enhancement: Create a class or module specifically for

inventory tracking. This class would have methods to update and retrieve
inventory levels. Use data structures like arrays or lists to store item quantities.
Real-time updates can be triggered by events (e.g., when items are added or
sold).
2. Data Integrity Assurance: Develop a subsystem that rigorously checks the
accuracy and completeness of inventory data upon entry, utilizing advanced
algorithms to detect and correct errors, thereby maintaining the reliability of the
inventory records.

3. User Access Management: Implement a tiered access control framework that

assigns appropriate permissions to users based on their roles, ensuring that
sensitive inventory data is accessible only to authorized personnel and
enhancing overall system security.
FEATURES

1. User Registration and Authentication:

- Our system allows users to create accounts securely. Robust authentication
mechanisms, including username-password combinations, ensure data
privacy and access control.

2. Data Validation and Integrity:

- To maintain data accuracy and prevent errors, we implement rigorous input
validation. This includes handling edge cases such as invalid product codes
and negative stock quantities.

3. Inventory Management:
- Users can seamlessly add new products, update existing product details, and
remove obsolete items. The system tracks stock levels, including available
stock, reserved stock, and reorder points, facilitating efficient inventory
replenishment.

4. Category:
- The Category feature allows users to organize their inventory items into
various predefined groups. This helps in managing and navigating through
the inventory efficiently. Users can create, update, or delete categories,
providing a structured way to categorize and track products.

5. Search:
- The Search feature empowers users to quickly locate specific inventory items
based on various criteria. By entering keywords or using filters such as item
name, category, SKU, or other attributes, users can instantly find the items
they are looking for.

6. Transaction Tracking:
- Every product transaction-whether it’s a purchase, sale, or return-is
meticulously recorded with timestamps. This comprehensive transaction
history serves as an audit trail for accountability and transparency.

REASON(s)/JUSCTIFICATION(s) IN CHOOSING THE PROJECT

An inventory management system (IMS) offers several compelling reasons for

businesses and organizations. It enhances efficiency and cost savings by accurately
tracking stock levels, avoiding overstocking and stockouts, reducing storage costs, and
minimizing waste. An IMS enables data-driven decision-making by providing real-time
data on inventory levels, sales trends, and product performance. It simplifies
compliance and auditing through accurate record-keeping. It directly impacts customer
satisfaction by ensuring products are available when needed. Automating inventory
processes reduces manual workload. An IMS supports scalability and growth as
businesses expand.
