Finish off and leave a long tail for sewing. Stuff moderately.

Snout
Use cream yarn. You also could use a fluffy cream yarn and your normal cream yarn and
crochet both together like I did. In this case use a 4,5mm hook. Just keep in mind that it will
be really hard to see your stitches that way (like they’re not even visible).

1 start with ch6

2 inc the second chain from hook, sc2, 5sc in the last ch. Continue on the other side:
sc2, sc3 in the last ch (14)
3 inc, sc4, inc3, sc4, inc2 (20)
4-7 sc around (4 rounds)
Finish off and leave a long tail for sewing. Don’t forget the safety nose! Of course you could
also embroider the nose with black yarn. Stuff lightly. When you sew the snout on you may
have to pinch it a bit for a perfect fit.

Assembly
Sew the head, the legs and the tail onto the body. Note that the fasten off point of the body
should be it’s back!

Arcanine’s stripes and it’s eyes were needle felted but you also could cut off long strips of
black felt for it’s stripes and cut off the shape of the eyes and paint on the details.

Now it’s time to make Arcanine’s fur! Be prepared that his fur may take longer than the body
parts.
I started to mark the part of the eyes with black yarn with back stitching. Use a picture of
Arcanine as reference. Then I needle felted the eyes and sew on the ears.
Now cut long strings of cream yarn (about 11cm (~4 inches)) and attach them on the head
by placing your hook through the stitch, yarn over and yarn over again to make a knot. Now
use a pet brush and brush your just attached yarn so it becomes fluffy. Repeat for the whole
head. Trim the mane cautiously.
Do the same with it’s breast and it’s feet. Cut even longer strings of yarn for the top of it’s
tail, about 17cm (~7 inches).

And that’s it! You just finished your own very fluffy Arcanine! I hope you enjoyed :)
