CHAPTER-I

INTRODUCTION:
Water is essential for life. The amount of fresh water on earth is limited, and with the rapid
industrialization, its quality is under constant pressure. Preserving the quality of raw water is
important not only for the drinking-water supply, but also for food production and other water uses.
Water quality can be compromised by the presence of infectious agents, toxic chemicals, and
axiological hazards.

Water quality deterioration in distribution systems is mainly caused by inappropriate

planning, designed construction or inadequate operation and maintenance and water quality
control. This has been linked to a significant proportion of the burden of waterborne and
waterrelated illness. Stresses on these systems caused by rapid urbanization, population growth
and aging infrastructure further exacerbates the problems.

The integrity of well managed distribution systems is one of the most important barriers
that protect drinking-water from contamination. However, management of distribution systems
often receives little attention. Distribution systems can incorrectly be viewed as passive systems
with the only requirement being to transport drinking-water from the outlets of treatment plants to
consumers.

Hence it is the prime responsibility of Civil Engineering Department to arrange adequate

and safe supply of water of acceptable quality to Railway premises as well Railway stations for
the passengers.

VISION/MISSION
Making the world a healthy & happy family and to be the leader in producing innovative healthcare
products that purify the water we drink, the food we eat and the air we breath.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
The global water purifier market size was USD 22.85 billion in 2021. The market is projected to
grow from USD 30.62 billion in 2022 to USD 50.66 billion by 2029, exhibiting a CAGR of 7.5%
during the forecast period. The global COVID-19 pandemic has been unprecedented and
staggering, with experiencing lower-than-anticipated demand across all regions compared to
prepandemic levels. Based on our analysis, the global market exhibited a decline of 3.8% in 2020
as compared to 2019.

Water purifiers consist of mainly two types of water purification systems. One is installed
at the point of water entry into buildings and termed as a point-of-entry or whole house filter
system. The other is installed at the endpoint where water is used for consumption and is known
as point-of-use systems. Installing both point-of-entry and point-of-use filter systems results in
complete purification from water softening to removing pathogens. The purification system
removes contaminants in raw water with the help of filter media and converts it into better quality
purified water which can be safely used for general and specialized purposes. These purifiers are
available in the market with different technologies, including reverse osmosis, ultra-violet, and
gravity-based purification process.

As the global market is growing at a faster rate for residential and commercial applications,
the key players are focusing on expanding their product portfolios across emerging markets. For
instance, in September

2021, A.O. Smith launched a new under-the-counter water treatment unit with UV plus
silver activated post-carbon technology in the Indian market. The product was launched
strategically to introduce a unique combination of cutting-edge features, advanced purification
technology and aesthetic appeal.
REVERSE OSMOSIS: is a water purification technology that uses a semipermeable membrane.
This membrane technology is not exactly a filtration method. In reverse osmosis, an applied
pressure is used to overcome osmotic pressure, a colligative property that is driven by chemical
potential which is a thermodynamic parameter. Reverse osmosis through a semipermeable
membrane can remove many types of molecules and ions from solutions, and is used in both
industrial processes and the production of potable water.
Reverse osmosis is most commonly known for its use in drinking water purification from seawater
and those areas where water contamination includes viruses and chemicals like metal ions, lead,
arsenic, fluoride, radium, sulfate, magnesium, potassium, nitrate, fluoride and phosphorus

SWOT ANALYSIS:
Strength: Good brand Image: In the water purifier industry, Aqua guard has almost
become a popular brand name. The brand name is powerful because the first mass-level company
in India to expand its wings was Aqua guard. Products offered by Aqua guard were also high
quality and so the equity of the business grew to staggering heights. People still have faith and rely
on Aqua guard for its purity and brand name.
Market share-Because it has a great brand name, a strong product selection, and the first
advantage for movers, it already has a large market share. Aqua guard’s market share is currently
equal to 44 percent, while Kent has a market share of 32 percent.
Automation: has enabled more effective resource utilization and cost reduction from various stages
of production. It also enables its goods to be consistent in quality, and offers the flexibility to scale
up and scale down production as per market demand.
Has a diverse workforce, with people of many ethnic , racial, cultural and educational
backgrounds who help the organization bring in various ideas and methodologies to do things.
Trained labor force: Aqua guard has invested heavily in its workforce training, which has resulted
in it hiring a significant number of professional and motivated workers.
Entering new markets: Creative teams from Aqua guard have helped it to come up with new
products and reach new markets. In the past it was successful, in most of the initiatives it took in
new markets
Weakness:
Service: Managing services for its large number of purifiers sold worldwide is one of the
big problems that have recently emerged for Aqua guard. Servicing demands that spares be handled
and people arrive on schedule at Aqua guard, which does not happen and thus impacts the company
hard.
Local competition-Due to the low cost manufacturing purifiers and because spare parts are
difficult to obtain from larger firms, many regional competitors are emerging in local markets. As
the profits of these local purifiers are high and as the cost is low, manufacturers have also begun
to promote locally made purifiers.
Imitation: There are many Aquaguard imitators that create business issues. Also bogus and
unauthorised replacement parts are being sold, underminingthe water purifier ‘s credibility. In fact,
due to this replication of the main brand , brand equity is being eroded. To monitor this, Aquaguard
needs to assign a squad.

Opportunities:

While this is not ideal for us, water will not get better, but it is a truth that water quality
will deteriorate more over the years and will not improve. And thus, for Aquaguard, the market is
still open.
Gravity purifiers-The demand for gravity purifiers is growing with HUL joining the market
for gravity purifiers. There is a very high understanding of gravity purifiers and the cost of such

purifiers is minimal. So people can start keeping it in gravity purifiers instead of keeping the water
in pitchers or jars.
Support and spare parts-Water purifiers have a wide demand for facilities and spare parts.
The value of water purifiers is growing, be it in India or in foreign markets. But the spare parts like
candles and filters have a staggering demand, more than water purifiers.
Channel expansion- For any channel player, this is a never-ending game and channel
expansion is still used. The better the platform, the more revenue there will be.

Pick on local rivals, with Aquaguard now having superior goods than local rivals. However,
by improving its service and communicating the differences between Aquaguard and others, the
brand can take on local competitors directly and further increase its market share.
Threats:
Kent-Kent came a few years ago into the scene and is backed by powerful buyers. Where
Aquaguard was based on UV purifiers, Kent opened up the RO water purifier market and took
Aquaguard off the market. For Aquaguard, beating KENT in the RO business is going to be very
difficult. With the funding it has, Kent and Aquaguard are going to be the water purification
market’s Coke and Pepsi.

Cost of spare parts & services-Aquaguard ‘s market image is falling with the many recent
concerns about the cost of spare parts and services. In comparison, even local distributors are
mentioning Aqua guard’s local brands and poor mouthing. This brings damage to the key brand,
inevitably.
Penetration of filtered water: The more bottled water is sold, the fewer water purifiers are
sold. Bisleri and Aquafina are brands that are quickly expanding through the industry. The need
for water purifier decreases, of course, with the dispensers sold by these brands, along with the 20
litre water container.

DIFFERENT DEPARTMENT

❖ Customer Relationship Management: Customer relationship management (CRM) is a

process in which a business or other organization administers its interactions with
customers, typically using data analysis to study large amounts of information. CRM
systems compile data from a range of different communication channels, including a
company's website, telephone, email, live chat, marketing materials and more recently,
social media They allow businesses to learn more about their target audiences and how to
best cater for their needs, thus retaining customers and driving sales growth CRM may be
used with past, present or potential customers.

❖ The concepts, procedures, and rules that a corporation follows when communicating with
its consumers are referred to as CRM. This complete connection covers direct contact with
customers, such as sales and service-related operations, forecasting, and the analysis of
consumer patterns and behaviors, from the perspective of the company According to
Gartner, the global CRM market size is estimated at $69 billion in 2020.
 Marketing: Marketing refers to any actions a company takes to attract an audience to the
company's product or services through highquality messaging. The purpose of marketing
is to research and analyze your consumers all the time, conduct focus groups, send out
surveys, study online shopping habits, and ask one underlying question: "Where, when,
and how does our consumer want to communicate with our business? “Here, let's explore
the purposes of marketing, along with types of marketing, the 4 P's of marketing, and the
difference between marketing and advertising. Whether you're a seasoned marketer looking
to refresh your definitions, or a beginner looking to understand what marketing is in the
first place, we've got you covered. Let's dive in.

❖ Service Marketing: Services marketing is a specialized branch of marketing which emerged

as a separate field of study in the early 1980s, following the recognition that the unique
characteristics of services required different strategies compared with the marketing of
physical goods. Services include a wide range of commercial and not-for-profit
transactions including personal services, professional services, entertainment and leisure
services.

❖ Services marketing typically refers to both business to consumer (B2C) and business-
tobusiness (B2B) services, and includes marketing of services such as telecommunications
services, financial services, all types of hospitality, tourism leisure and entertainment
services, car rental services, health care services and professional services and trade
services. Service marketers often use an expanded marketing mix which consists of the
seven Ps: product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence and process.

❖ A contemporary approach, known as service-dominant logic, argues that the demarcation

between products and services that persisted throughout the 20th century was artificial and
has obscured that everyone sells service. The S-D logic approach is changing the way that
marketers understand value-creation and is changing concepts of the consumer's role in
service delivery processes

CHAPTER-II
EVALUATION OF SUMMER TRAINING:
1. Did the summer training meet your personal expectations?
I think that an internship is extremely valuable to a student. It is a small taste of the real
world. It helped reinforce my knowledge of responsibility, focus, drive and ambition. I had to be
responsible for people’s money, credit card authorization forms, getting to work on time, fulfilling
my word and completing all of the tasks that I was assigned. I learned focus. I learned drive during
really long days of events. I got tired, but didn’t give up. The only way to gain experience, and
move up in the working world is to be driven, focused and to have a will to never give up. People
noticed my willingness to help in any department at any time. I was not paid, and was only
supposed to work 15 hours per week. I was working 40 hours a week. I was not getting any extra
credit hours, or over-time pay, but that was okay. I was gaining experience which is more valuable
to my future career success than any amount of money or credit hours. I was only able to gain this
experience because of the requirement to complete a semester internship. It was an invaluable tool
to help me figure out what I want to do."

"Open communication was one of the strongest and most apparent skills that I learned
during my internship. When I first started interning, I was intimidated and nervous to ask too many
questions because I didn’t want to admit that I didn’t understand or that I needed extra help with
something. Luckily I got over that fear quickly because asking questions is the only way to learn
what you are really supposed to be doing. I found that my boss and fellow staff members
appreciated it more if I asked too many questions to make sure I really understood what it was
doing and that I did it correctly. If I had not worked with such cooperative and helpful people, I
probably would have been too intimidated to ask questions in my next job.
Now that I know it is not bad to ask questions, I won’t have to struggle with it in my future job.
Without open communication between everyone in an office, I don’t see how any work can be
done."

2. How did you assess your performance at the Agency?

• Problem solving: "I have demonstrated my problem-solving skills several times during my
time in the company." I manage to solve difficult situations efficiently, always taking the
rest of the team into consideration."

• Decision making: "When it comes to making decisions, I tend to fall back on past
experiences instead of looking for new solutions.

• Time Management:"I manage my time effectively to meet deadlines, however tight they
may be." I have the ability to prioritise the most important tasks, and if I can't do it, I'll
delegate to others who have the experience."

• Communication: "I need to work on my ability to deal with emotions and not let them
affect my working relationships. I sometimes find it hard to communicate."
• Adaptability:"I adapt to change and I try to do my bit during transitions." I appreciate
feedback when things don't go well, I stay calm and positive.”

• Emotional intelligence: "I'm aware of my strengths and weaknesses, which enables me to

deal with emotions more easily. I try to understand and listen to everyone."

• Team work: "I believe that my skills and my ability to work in a team have been valuable
during this period. I have taken an active role in my department, working with confidence
and expressing my ideas and opinions."
3. would you recommend this Agency for future students for summer training? If so why?

I learned Well-trained customer service agents are better at building customer relationships using
emotional intelligence and a broad communication skill set. Not only does this result in a happy
customer base, but it also leads to a loyal customer base. When customer service is good, people
remember. They tell their friends, they feel loyal to your brand, and they're more likely to trust you
with their money.

To provide good customer service that generates high customer loyalty, you’ll need an outstanding
customer service training program that teaches the exceptional service standard you expect. All
companies have a unique workplace culture that defines how things get done, how employees

interact with one another, and how people behave. This culture combines the values, beliefs, vision,
systems, and habits that an organization and its members share. But, how do you ensure that culture
is positive and authentic?

Building a positive company culture requires trust, transparency, and active listening. Here's how
employee feedback promotes employee engagement and how designing constructive feedback
practices, implementing effective employee feedback loops, and adding feedback follow-ups can
build trust that there is an established positive feedback culture

Work culture grows and shifts with the circumstances.

“It’s a living and breathing thing that’s evolving all the time,” J.C. Herrera, chief human resources
officer at Sunnyvale, California-based cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike told Built In.
It guides employees on what behaviors, expectations, and matters of importance are part of the
company’s current ecosystem.
“People need to understand the culture so they know how to get their work done,” Herrera said,
adding there are also micro work cultures within an organization from a management culture to an
engineering culture to an employee culture.
Work culture is different from a company’s core values, which largely remain the same over time.
For example, CrowdStrike is updating it’s core values because of massive growth — the company
has dramatically grown from under 400 people to now over 4,500.

But its original values of a fanatical focus on the customer, a high value on innovation and strong
belief that anything can be accomplished together still remain as it updates its values, Herrera said.

4. My suggestion for improving the agencies services:

Practice the art of using your interpersonal skills in an enterprising and enticing way. This
gives a clear message to other employees at the workplace of your interaction capabilities.
Moreover, you naturally get the advantage when it comes to getting more responsible work
assigned by seniors. Most importantly, show empathy in conversations and be mindful of your
body language.

Never be taken aback by the onset of company changes, team alterations or new, tougher
projects. Even if you have a stringent deadline to meet, shift your mindset towards adapting to
reality rather than stressing. Remember, with adaptability, acceptance comes easily, but without
adaptability, acceptance comes with resistance.

If your fellow employees are slacking and seem burnt out, seize the opportunity and take
up the leadership role. It's the most appropriate time to voice your opinions, take initiative and find
a solution that neutralizes their lack of attention. For employees looking for an appraisal, this could
be an exceptional area for improvement

Conflicts may occur between you and your clients, managers or colleagues. Never let conflicts
remain active. Put effort into resolving the issue. If not, you could disrupt smooth operations and
create a negative atmosphere, harming the business or project. Whether you resolve a conflict
faceto-face, by email or call or in a group e-meeting, make sure to end the conversation on mutually
satisfactory terms
5. Innovative service strategies proposed for future:

Strategy is about making choices between a number of feasible options tohave the best
chance at “winning”, and innovation is just one of the means to achieve your strategic goals.
Without a good one, it’s actually quite difficult to achieve long-term success and orient
your business for speed in order to secure competitive advantage.

What’s interesting is that according to statistics, 96% of executives have defined innovation
as a strategic priority. However, the lack of clear innovation strategy is a fundamental problem
especially for established companies when optimization of existing business becomes a priority.
While developing an innovation strategy isn’t necessarily difficult in itself, aligning it with your
overall business goals and ways of working is what takes most of the time and effort.

This time, we’ve decided to try to make sense of the broad topic by introducing five steps
for developing your own innovation strategy. In addition, we’ll introduce a few tools that can be
used when mapping your strategic goals in order to make the best choices for long-term success.
Business model innovation is the process an organization uses to adapt its business model to deliver
more value to its customers. By making changes to its value proposition and the underlying
business model, a company can gain a competitive advantage.

Leveraging Existing Business Model focuses on continuous improvement of core business,

rather than seeking to build new business models.
CHAPTER -III
IMPACT OF SUMMER TRAINING

1. what did you learn about yourself?

• “I can sum up my entire personal and professional life in three words – I can win! My dad
and my current boss, both would vouch for the fact that I have a havoc wrecking neversay-
die spirit! It is impossible to subdue me, no matter what.

• I also make sure that this attitude becomes contagious within my team. Some of my
colleagues say that I encourage my teammates as a football coach during crunched
situations!”

2. In what areas did you experience the most professional growth?

• Communication skills:Nearly every professional can benefit from having strong
communication skills. These skills allow you to more effectively communicate with others
and include writing, verbal, and nonverbal communication.
• Setting goal:Effectively setting goals will help you be more productive at work and
complete your tasks on time and in an efficient manner.

• Productivity:There is always room for improvement when it comes to productivity in the

workplace and will help you stay focused longer and complete more tasks throughout the
day.

• Stress Management:Everyone experiences stress at some point during their careers, and
knowing how to effectively manage it can prevent decreased productivity and increased
motivation to move through the stress in a healthy way.
• Listening skills:Strong listening skills allow you to better communicate with colleagues
and managers and is considered a valuable trait by many employers.
• Emotional intelligence:Emotional intelligence can help you better understand and
communicate with others as well as manage your own emotions in an appropriate way in
the workplace.

• Teamwork skills:Teamwork is often a regular part of the workplace, and being able to
successfully interact as part of a team will help you be more effective in your contributions
to the team.

• Customer service skills:Quality customer service is essential for organizations to succeed

and is an area of improvement that many employees can benefit from.
• Empathy:Strong empathy skills allow you to better connect with and understand others in
the workplace and can support strong relationships that will benefit you in your career.

3. what are the skills you have developed in the area of management?

1. Technical skills:Technical skills involve skills that give the managers the ability and the
knowledge to use a variety of techniques to achieve their objectives. These skills not only
involve operating machines and software, production tools, and pieces of equipment but
also the skills needed to boost sales, design different types of products and services, and
market the services and the products.

2. Conceptual skills:These involve the skills managers present in terms of the knowledge
and ability for abstract thinking and formulating ideas. The manager is able to see an entire
concept, analyze and diagnose a problem, and find creative solutions. This helps the
manager to effectively predict hurdles their department or the business as a whole may face

3. Planning: Planning is a vital aspect within an organization. It refers to one’s ability to

organize activities in line with set guidelines while still remaining within the limits of the
available resources such as time, money, and labor. It is also the process of formulating a
set of actions or one or more strategies to pursue and achieve certain goals or objectives
with the available resources.

The planning process includes identifying and setting achievable goals, developing
necessary strategies, and outlining the tasks and schedules on how to achieve the set goals.
Without a good plan, little can be achieved.
4. problem-solving: Problem-solving is another essential skill. A good manager must have
the ability to tackle and solve the frequent problems that can arise in a typical workday.
Problem-solving in management involves identifying a certain problem or situation and
then finding the best way to handle the problem and get the best solution. It is the ability
to sort things out even when the prevailing conditions are not right. When it is clear that a
manager has great problem-solving skills, it differentiates him/her from the rest of the team
and gives subordinates confidence in his/her managerial skills.
5. culture: As our world and workplaces become more diverse and open, it is vital that
individuals have the skills to understand, respect and work with others despite differences
in race, culture, language, age, gender, sexual orientation, political or religious beliefs, etc.
The ability to understand and adapt to others who might have different ways of perceiving
the world will not only improve how people interact within the company but is also likely
to make a company’s products and services more inclusive and successful.

4. Based on summer training experience what skills would you like to develop preparation

for your career?

1. Adaptability: Nobody knows everything and it is often helpful to be aware of that,
especially in a world that is changing rapidly. If you are willing to take a new path and try
something completely different without giving up on your ideals, you are always up-todate
and never stop learning. This is also a good starting point for innovations Problemsolving
2. Decision making: Management decision making is choosing a course of action after
considering different options to accomplish an organization's goals. Management involves
problem-solving, budgeting, coaching, planning, organizing, staffing, controlling
Technical skills
3. Team work:Teamwork is the collaborative effort of a group to achieve a common goal or
to complete a task in the most effective and efficient way. This concept is seen within the
greater framework of a team, which is a group of interdependent individuals who work
together towards a common goal.[3] The four key characteristics of a team include a shared
goal, interdependence, boundedness and stability, the ability to manage their own work and
internal process, and operate in a bigger social system. [4] Basic requirements for effective
teamwork are an adequate team size. The context is important, and team sizes can vary
depending upon the objective. A team must include at least 2 or more members, and most
teams range in size from 2 to 100. Sports teams generally have fixed sizes based upon set
rules, and work teams may change in size depending upon the phase and complexity of the
objective. Teams need to be able to leverage resources to be productive (i.e. playing fields
or meeting spaces, scheduled times for planning, guidance from coaches or supervisors,
support from the organization, etc.), and clearly defined roles within the team in order for
everyone to have a clear purpose Teamwork is present in any context where a group of
people are working together to achieve a common goal.[1]These contexts include an
industrial organization (formal work teams), athletics (sports teams), a school (classmates
working on a project), and the healthcare system (operating room teams). In each of these
settings, the level of teamwork and interdependence can vary from low (e.g. golf, track and
field), to intermediate
(e.g. baseball, football), to high (e.g. ), depending on the amount of communication,
interaction, and collaboration present between team members. E. g. Team work coordinates
the work as early as possible

4. communication:Communications management is an umbrella term referring to the flow

of information within a company or between multiple companies. It focuses on
reaching a company's target audiences– consumers, employees, vendors, media groups,
etc. —by planning and implementing myriad methods of communication.
5. Communication is fundamental to the existence and survival of humans as well as to
an organization. It is a process of creating and sharing ideas, information, views, facts,
feelings from one place, person or group to another. Communication is the key to the
Directing function of management.
6. A manager may be highly qualified and skilled but if he does not possess good
communication skills, all his ability becomes irrelevant. A manager must communicate
his directions effectively to the subordinates to get the work done from them properly
7. work ethics: Employers want to see you demonstrate personal accountability for your
actions and work habits. Be sure to show up on time, work productively with others
and understand the impact of your non-verbal communication. Take responsibility and
learn from your mistakes to show integrity and ethical behavior
8. Work ethic is a belief that work and diligence have a moral benefit and an inherent
ability, virtue or value to strengthen character and individual abilities It is a set of values
cantered on importance of work and manifested by determination or desire to work
hard. Social ingrainment of this value is considered to enhance character through hard
work that is respective to an individual's field of work.
9. 6.self-management: Self-management skills are skills that allow you to manage your
time and be as productive as possible within the workplace. These skills ensure you
prioritize tasks effectively, focus on your professional growth and contribute to your
organization as a whole. Good self-management skills to include on your resume
include time management, organization and self-motivation.
10. Self-management is our ability to manage our behaviours, thoughts, and emotions in a
conscious and productive way.
11. Someone with strong self-management skills knows what to do and how to act in
different situations. For instance, they know how to control their anger when the umpire
unfairly calls their child out at a little league game. They know how to avoid
distractions while working from home, so they can maintain focus and stay productive.
They know what they need to do to achieve their fitness goals — and they follow
through.
12. Self-management means you understand your personal responsibility in different
aspects of your life, and you do what you need to fulfil that responsibility.
13. This self-management definition has its roots in emotional intelligence theory, where
this capability may also be referred to as self-regulation. Selfregulation is supported by
our capacity for self-awareness, which helps us create conscious access to our thoughts,
desires, and feelings. Only once we are aware of these things, can we begin to control
and express them appropriately.
14. Those with well-developed self-awareness and self-regulation are wellpositioned to
develop a set of self-management skills that support them on their work and personal
journeys.

5. How has the summer training influencing my career goals?

Internship will definitely influence my career plans because internship can be an excellent
way of getting our foot in the door with a company we may particularly want to work with. I think
that acquiring work experience is a valuable tool used to gain access into a particular profession.
My internship experience enables me to make more realistic and informed decisions about my
career path following graduation. Job opportunities in the accounting occupation are very
competitive and organizations tend to hire applicants for accounting positions who possess the
most relevant experience to the job position. My internship in accounts department is a great
opportunity for my successful career
One of the top reasons to do an internship is to gain practical experience that complements
what you’ve learnt during your studies. It’s eye-opening to see how different a real-world work
environment is to what you’ve learnt.
Employers want to know that you can handle the pressures of a work environment. This is
the perfect way to show them you can.
` The benefit of an internship for students is to add new skills to their resume, helping kickstart
your career once you’ve graduated. The best summer internships offer you the chance to expand
upon the skills you’ve learnt and grow your career from there.

6. Has the summer training helped you I taking a decision regarding your career

specialisation and settings?

Yes!! My summer internship was an eye opener. It made me realize that

Operations is not a lifetime career for me. So the implications followed, I changed the
electives I had chosen and now I'm specializing in Finance & systems. For the second part of the
question, I personally haven't experienced it yet. But, I've seen my seniors go through final
placements. To sum-up, the brand name of your internship company is positively correlated with
the number of shortlists you get in final placements.

Summer internships allow college students to get real-world work experience. These
programs help students build their resumes and take the first step toward a successful career after
graduation. However, students aren’t the only ones who benefit from internship programs.
Companies that offer these programs get a first look at new talent (i.e., the interns) before they
enter the workforce. Internship programs also benefit a company’s culture and its bottom line. It’s
the kind of mutually beneficial relationship that makes for good business
7. employee ability skills you gained through a summer training which will helps you in

future?
o Active learning:Active learning is a procedure that utilises exercises to completely
participate in the material you are attempting to learn. Being an active learner can
assist you in developing relevant abilities and enable you to learn how to perform
tasks effectively. You can develop dynamic learning abilities by engaging in
conversations, performing in role-play scenarios and thinking critically to develop
a comprehensive understanding of the material in hand.

o Analytical thinking:Analytical thinking is the capacity to sort data into small groups
to readily interpret information and make proper assessments. Many professions
depend on this ability for research, critical thinking and to estimate trends.
Insightful reasoning further develops dynamic abilities, which can make you a more
dependable and compelling worker. One method for developing logical reasoning
abilities is by being more attentive to environmental factors and putting effort into

conflicts, minimise stress and enhance the quality of the work environment. This

organisational objectives. You can create or further develop your capacity to
appreciate people on an emotional level, by paying attention to and connecting with
others, considering alternate points of view and assessing differences in opinion.

o Leadership:Companies look forward to hiring employees with leadership skills,

who possess qualities such as responsibility, initiative and integrity. These skills aid

CHAPTER-IV
Conclusion

I can honestly say that my time spent interning with Aqua life and Company resulted in one of
the best summers of my life. Not only did I gain practical skills but I also had the opportunity to
meet many fantastic people. The atmosphere at the Aqua life office was always welcoming
which made me feel right at home.

Additionally, I felt like I was able to contribute to the company by assisting and working on projects
throughout the summer. For example, I assisted one of the partners with several PowerPoint
presentations for clients of the company. Also, I helped to organize all of the firms marketing
contacts by utilizing Google Documents. In addition to these projects, I also helped many of the
CPAs with document organization, trial balance reviews, and many other day-to-day needs.
While I was able to learn a lot from normal office life, my two most memorable days were events
in which Mr. Nallathambiorganized outside of work. The firm set up a networking event for me in
which I was able to go to dinner and a Pirate game with two interns from a local law firm. It was
such a good night! The Kaiya won the game and I was able to interact and make connections with
some other interns in the city.

Also, on one of my last days with the company for the summer, Mr. Nallathambiorganized a firm
event involving everyone from the offices. In conclusion, this internship has been a very useful
experience for me. In a nutshell, this internship has been an excellent and rewarding experience. I
can conclude that there have been a lot I’ve learnt from my work at Cemosis. Needless to say, the
technical aspects of the work I’ve done are not flawless and could be improved provided enough
time. As someone with no prior experience with Node’s whatsoever I believe my time spent in
research and discovering it was well worth it and contributed to finding an acceptable solution to
build a fully functional web service.

Two main things that I’ve learned the importance of are timemanagement skills and selfmotivation.
I can safely say that my understanding of the job environment has increased greatly. However, I
do think that there are some aspects of the job that I could have done better and that I need to work
on. Overall, my internship at Mr. Nallathambi has been a success. I was able to gain practical
skills, work in a fantastic environment, and make connections that will last a lifetime. I could not
be more thankful.
