1
 Graph options can be changed by selecting required graph type.
 Yield calculation method change facility.

TEST RESULTS: -

 Sample No selection option will show all tested sample list in current opened file.
 To modify entered dimensions of sample, click that particular dimension.
 Only selected results will get displayed in report. Unwanted results can be avoided in report by
deselecting particular result in test results window.

NEW FILE: -

 Select proper test type

 Enter File name & Date (NOTE: - Name should not include characters like “/”, “\”, “.”)
 Select Sample type and enter all dimensions as per selection.
 In Other Details, you can enter required personalize data. All these are optional.
 After pressing SAVE button all data will get saved under entered FILE NAME.

2
OPEN FILE: - In this widow, you can select/open previously stored file to see results.

 List shows files from current selected TEST TYPE.

 Select file from list to open. Can change test type to open file to see results from different test
types.
 Date Wise search option can be used to see list of files stored in particular date period. FROM
DATE option should be 1 day before test.
 You can search files starting with required alphabet by entering it in “ENTER FILE NAME” option
and pressing “SEARCH” button.
 “SHOW ALL FILES” button used to see all list of files for selected TEST TYPE.
 “OPEN” button used to open selected file.

VIEW GRAPH: - Tested results & graph can be seen in this window.

3
 “SELECT SAMPLE NO” to see graph of required sample no.
 You can plot different combination of graph by using “GRAPH TYPE” option.
 “VIEW ALL GRAPHS” can be used to plot all graphs of all samples tested in current file opened.
 To zoom graph, drag mouse on portion of graph required to ZOOM.
 “RESET ZOOM” button used to come out from zoom mode of graph.
 “PRINT BATCH REPORT” button used to see PDF view of all results displayed in list.
 “SELECT YIELD LOAD” button used to manually select “YIELD LOAD” from graph, in case if
calculated “YIELD LOAD” is not proper. Procedure for the same is as follows,
1. Click “SELECT YIELD LOAD” button.
2. Double click desired yield point on graph only. It will prompt for confirmation.
3. After clicking “YES”, new yield load will get saved & results will get updated as per selection.
 “DELETE RECORD” button will delete current selected result.

START TEST: - To start new test click this menu.

 Select required test control mode from list like “Load Rate/Displacement Rate mode”.
 Enter control parameters displayed as per selection of test control mode.
 You can change sample dimensions/ yield calculation method if required.
 Click “SEND DATA” button to transfer entered data to electronic panel.
 “RETURN AFTER TEST” check box is used to return crosshead to start position after test.
 Detailed test procedure with different test control modes is explained bellow.

4
COMM PORT: - Select Communication port with this option.

NOTE: - If using USB Port then always use dedicated USB port for the same. Otherwise for every
change of Port will need to reselect COMM PORT before testing.

SAMPLE TESTING PROCEDURE WITH DIFFERENT TEST MODES

LOAD RATE MODE: -

 Create new file if required by entering all data as shown in NEW FILE window.
 Clamp sample in grips.
 To adjust distance for both side clamping, adjust crosshead by moving up/down.
 Select Load Rate Test mode.
 Enter control parameters as displayed.
 Enter sample dimensions if required to change.
 Select Yield option if required to change.
 Click “SEND DATA” button to transfer all parameters to Electronic panel.
 Real time graph window will appear as shown bellow.
 Click TARE LOAD button to make display zero. You can use TARE LOAD key from panel also.
 Click START TEST button to start test. Data start displaying in software after crossing preload
value.
 Test will continue up to rupture of sample.

NOTE: -

1. In TENSION TEST, Load rate mode will work up to yield point, use “SHIFT TEST” button given
in on line graph window to transfer test to displacement rate mode. It is very important.
2. LOAD RATE should be entered “kN” only & Displacement rate should be in mm/min.
3. LOAD RATE value should always be less than load cell capacity of connected load cell. Change
it as per load cell connected.

6
4. This method is sample dependent, so do not use this method for samples such as
SPRING/RUBBER because its material property may not allow the machine to maintain load
rate. For such sample use Displacement rate mode.
5. For COMPRESSION TEST material may not break, so use this method carefully to avoid
damage of load cell.

DISPLACEMENT RATE MODE: -

 Select Displacement Rate Test mode.

STRESS RATE TEST MODE: -

 Select Stress Rate Test mode.

 Enter control parameters as displayed.
 Enter sample dimensions if required to change.
 Select Yield option if required to change.
 Click “SEND DATA” button to transfer all parameters to Electronic panel.

7
 Real time graph window will appear as shown bellow.
 Click TARE LOAD button to make display zero. You can use TARE LOAD key from panel also.
 Click START TEST button to start test. Data start displaying in software after crossing preload
value.
 Test will continue up to rupture of sample.

NOTE: - Stress rate value should be entered such that the calculated LOAD RATE will not cross the
load cell capacity.

STRAIN RATE TEST MODE: -

 Strain Rate mode is same as displacement rate mode. It takes feedback from encoder.
 Test will continue similar to displacement rate mode.
