SEQUENCE

 A list of numbers which are follows some particular

pattern or rule is called sequence.

(i) 1 , 4, 9 , 16 , -, -, -----------

(ii) 2 , 6, 18, 54, -, -, -------------

(iii) 1, 3, 5, 7, , -, - -------
ARITHMETIC PROGRESSION:-
A sequence in which difference between two consecutive terms is
constant is called arithmetic sequence/progression.
Or
A list of numbers in which each term is obtained by adding a fixed
number to the previous term except the first term.

Note:- The fixed number is called common difference (d) of the A.P.
 common difference can be positive, negative, or zero
(iii) 1, 3, 5, 7, , -, - -------

(iv) 10, 8, 6, 4, - , - - ---------

* Common diff.(d) = 𝑻𝟐− 𝑻𝟏 = 𝑻𝟒− 𝑻𝟑 = 𝑻𝒏− 𝑻𝒏−𝟏
General Form of an A.P. :-
