There is no STR available for Set of Rubber metal bonded items (PL No. 33503916) of FJAT
bogie. Minimum infrastructural requirement for manufacture & testing of Set of Rubber metal
bonded items is given below and same may be used for CCA purpose:
# Description of Infrastructure
I Kneader or Intermix for mixing of rubber and chemicals.
2 Mixing Mi 11 of suitable capacity for sheet out of master batch & final batch mixing.
3 Rubber Injection moulding machine of suitable capacity.
4 Degreasing unit to degrease the metal surface of metallic oarts.
5 Sand/ Shot blasting machine.
6 Adhesive application system having suitable mixing chamber to maintain uniform
viscosity of adhesive.
7 Rheometer for rheological compound behavior.
8 Shore A hardness tester for checking hardness of rubber.
9 Sp. Gravity balance/ Meter for checking specific gravity of rubber compound.
10 Compression set apparatus for checking the compression set of rubber compound.
11 Chemical weighing balance- 5 kg.
12 Hot air oven up to range of250 ° C with temperature recorder.
13 Dumbbell cutting machine.
14 Moulding press for preparing test slabs.
15 Tensile testing machine with a capacity of 1000 Kg. for checking tensile strength and
elongation of rubber compound.
16 Bond strength fixture as per IS standard for checking the rubber to metal bond
strength.
17 Minimum three axis (computerized) endurance testing machine cum load vs. deflection
testing machine having capacity to measure deflection at load of 200 KN (min.),
Torsional & Cardanic (Conical) rotation up to 15° in static condition and having
simultaneous cyclic movements of all the three actuators capable for endurance testing
of components as mentioned in specification MDTS-122 for combination of:
(i) Radial, Axial & Torsional
(ii) Radial, Torsional & Cardanic
(iii) Compressive/ Vertical cyclic Joad for items requiring endurance test in
single axis up to capacity of 80 KN.
If facility for load vs. deflection for static testing is not available in multi-axis
endurance testing machine, a separate computerized load vs. deflection testing machine
having capacity as mentioned above should be available.
18 Measuring instruments like vernier caliper, micrometer, and height gauge etc.
19 Suitable surface table or surface plate for inspection of items.
