B Match the fruit with their descriptions
Procedure
A Students work in pairs and write down where they think each of the foods comes from and fill in
the missing main ingredient from each dish. They then look up the foods in their dictionaries or DVD-
ROMs to check their answers.
Time: 15 minutes

As a follow-up activity ask students to find two other students and ask them if they have tried each of
the foods and if so did they like it?
B Students do the matching exercise alone or in pairs. Then in pairs they look at the fruits at the entry
for fruit and tell each other which are their favourite fruits.

Follow-up: Ask students to look at the pictures of vegetables at the entry for vegetable. They can draw
a mind map and write down vegetables which are new to them. Alternatively, they can talk to each
