(ENTER NARRATORS 1 & 2 USR)

NARRATOR 1: Once upon a time in a happy forest lived the happiest

creatures, The Trolls.

They loved to sing, dance and hug! But one day, the Trolls were discovered
by... a Bergen!

NARRATOR 2: The Bergens didn't know how to sing... or dance... or even

hug. They were

miserable!

NARRATOR 3: They wanted some of that happiness so every year on

Trollstice they would

kidnap trolls and eat them to be happy, but one year the Trolls got away.

(Hear KING OS)

KING PEPPY: No Troll left behind! Run! Let's get as far away from Bergan
town as we can!

NARRATOR 1: Chef Bergen, in charge of capturing the Trolls, was banished

from Bergen

Town for letting the Trolls get away. She promised to find them!

(CHEF enters DSR-crossed to cS to deliver line then crosses OFF SL)

Chef Bergen: I will find you Trolls... and you will pay!

NARRATOR 2: Many years later, the Trolls lived happily, singing dancing and
hugging...
 SCENE 2: Troll Tree

SMIDGE: Woo hoo! It's gonna be a paaarrty!

COOPER: Yes I can't wait!

POPPY: Branch are you coming?

BRANCH: No way! 1l am going to wait in my bunker. You're going to be too

loud and the

Bergens are going to hear you.. and find us!

CREEK: Don't be such a party pooopper Branch!

BRANCH: Just you wait and see....

NARRATOR 3: That night the Trolls celebrated another year of freedom

(Everyone but CHEF enters for THEY DONT KNOW)

 THEY DON'T KNOW (song and dance)

I woke up with all this sunlight

NARRATOR 3: It was a great party, but as Branch suspected.. they were
very loud and Chef

heard them.

(CHEF enters at top of stairs)

CHEF BERGEN: Is that what I think l hear??..TROLLS!!!

(CHEF EXITS. STAGE GOES BLACK. We hear HAIR UP music play)

NARRATOR 1: The Chef ran to catch the Trolls and seek revenge

(We hear OFFSTAGE. TROLLS SCREAM. CHEF "Muwahahaa"- song HAIR UP

plays in the

background)

(We see trolls running back and forth across the stage SL to SR to SL. Music
still piays... after a few more seconds QUIET. NARRATOR 1 APPEAR from TOP
OF STAIRS)

POPPY: Dad, can we come out? Are we safe?

(POPPY ENTERS FROM SL - slowly. BRANCH & GLITTER fromD SR.

KING from USR)

BRANCH: I told you! I told you!

KING: They got Smidge and Creek...We have to save everyone else and
move quickly.
POPPY: but what about "no Trolls left behind?" We have to find them.

KING: No Poppy, that was a long time ago. We must go.

GLITTER: Ooh Smidge! Oh Creek! (almost crying). Poppy, you have to find
them.

POPPY: YES! I must go and find them. Branch, will you come with me?

BRANCH: NO WAY! This is YOUR fault!

POPPY: Well I will go and everyone can stay in your bunker until im back
then!

GLITTER: I'll come too!

KING: TROLLS!!!! This way! To Branch's bunker!

BRANCH: WHATI?

NARRATOR 2: The King led the rest of the Trolls into Branch's bunker and
Poppy and Glitter

set off to find their friends.

NARRATOR 3: Branch, not ready to share his bunker with 100 Trolls, went to
keep Poppy

company.

(Everyone EXITS SR)

SCENE THREE: FOREST

(POPPY & BRANCH ENTER DSR. Walking slowly, looking around the
forest)

POPPY: l can't wait to see my friends tomorrow!

BRANCH: They've probably been eaten

(turns angrily to BRANCH)

POPPY: Not true! They will be fine

BRANCH: Everything is not always cupcakes and rainbows

POPPY: Well it's better than being grumpy like YOU all the time!

GLITTER: Always a party pooopper!

BRANCH: (sighs)

(EXIT SL)

NARRATOR 1: back in Bergen Town, a Prince was waiting to eat his first
Troll!

SCENE FOUR: BERGEN TOWN CASTLE

(ENTER KGJ top of stairs)

KING GRISTLE JR: I'Il never ever ever ever never EVER be happy! I MUST
eat a Trol!

CHEF: NEVER, say never! (ENTERS from SL)

KGJ: Where did you come from!? My father banished you 20 years ago!

CHEF: Oh little prince, I have a surprise for you!

(Chef shows Troll hair from her pocket)

KGJ: HUH! ...you found Trolls!

CHEF: Yes! But first, you must bring back Trollstice... and I will be your chef!

KGJ: Okay!
(ALL EXIT. We hear KGJ offstage, ""m going to be haaapppy!")

(WE SEE CREEK & SMIDGE on top of stairs. CHEF USR)

CHEF: and you will stay here in the dungeon until the little prince is ready...
hahahahaha)

SMIDGE: What do we do Creek?

COOPER: We are going to be eaten!

CREEK: We must stay calm. Poppy will find us!

SMIDGE: I hope so (they hug)

(SMIDGE and CREEK EXIT. ENTER NARRATOR 1 & 2)

SCENE SIX: FOREST

NARRATOR 2: Poppy, Glitter and Branch continued to travel through the

forest

(ENTER. Creeping slowly)

POPPY: (singing and skipping) LA LA LA LA I think we're almost there..

BRANCH: Shhhh! We don't want to be found!

GLITTER: Just relax Branch. Let's sing it will make things better... LA LA LA
LA

BRANCH: (stops) Stop it! I hate singing. It just causes trouble... like the
trouble we're in!

POPPY: Oh Branch. What is the matter?

BRANCH: Singing is what got my grandma eaten!

GLITTER: (huh!) My Uncle once broke his leg dancing.

POPPY: Branch. I am sorry, what was she singing?

BRANCH: I was the one singing..

GLITTER: It's not your fault Branch...

POPPY: We cannot always choose what happens, but we can choose to be

happy

(EVERYONE ENTERS FOR TRUE COLORS)

SCENE SEVEN: BERGEN CASTLE

NARRATOR 3: Poppy Glitter and Branch finally found Bergen Town and they
quickly ran to

the castle. When they arrived they met Bridget, an unusual Bergen

BRIDGET: (looking at Prince's photo) o00o0000h King Gristle Jr.... love

yooouuuu

POPPY: oooh she's in love with the king!

BRANCH: Shhh! Bergen's don't have feelings!

GLITTER: Maybe you don't know everything about Bergens

POPPY: Maybe she can help us!

BRIDGET: (hears them and turns around) HUH! Are you a Troll? (jumps)
CHEF!

POPPY: Noo noo noo!! Shh shh shh.

GLITTER: You like the King!

BRIDGET: (Surprised) Yes. But he doesn't know I am there

POPPY: what if we help you? and then you can help us!

BRIDGET: .... mmmm okay

(EXIT EVERYONE)

SCENE EIGHT: BERGEN CASTLE KITCHEN

NARRATOR 1: It was almost time for Trollstice. The Chef was busy preparing
the Troll feast

and Bridget was in charge of watching the Troll prisoners

NARRATOR 2: But Poppy and Glitter gave her new Troll hair... now friends
Bridget planned

to save them.

(ENTER CHEF with cooking pot and KGJ and BRIDGET too with new
hair)

CHEF: It is almost time for the feast your highness! Bridget!! Get the plates!

KGJ: Horray horray horray! 'm going to eat a Troll today!

CHEF: Bridget!

KGJ: Wow (to Bridget)... like your hair!

BRIDGET: (pauses and smiles) Thank you.

CHEF: Bridget! Go get the Trolls for the pot!

NARRATOR 3: Bridget went to get the Trolls... But not the real ones. Fake
ones!
 SCENE NINE: OUTSIDE THE CASTLE

BRIDGET: Poppy, Glitter, Branch, here are your friends.. now run, quickly!

POPPY: Thank you Bridget!

BRANCH: Smidge! Creek!

SMIDGE: You've rescued us!

CREEK: Thank you Bridget!

COOPER: Let's go home!

SCENE TEN: CASTLE KITCHEN

NARRATOR 1: Back in the kitchen, the Chef was about to get a surprise!

(CHEF enters to stir the pot. When she lifts the lid she sees the fake
Trolls. She lifts ones up)

CHEF: huh! This is not a Troll! Where are the Trolls?! BRIDGET!

KGJ: Huh!!! No Trolls! NOOO00!!!WILL NEVER BE HAPPY!!!!!!!!

(Enter BRIDGET)

BRIDGET: King Gristle, Chef. It is not up to Trolls to make us happy. It's up to

us.

KGJ: But... But.... (thinking) …You mean, I can just be happy?

BRIDGET: Yes. You can choose to be happy. It's inside all of us.

CHEF: That's nonsense!... You think so!?

BRIDGET: I don't just think it, I feel it.

SCENE EVELYN: TROLL LAND

NARRATOR 2: back in Troll Land everyone was very happy to see their
friends returned.

KING PEPPY: Poppy, you have saved the day!

SMIDGE & CREEK: Thank you Poppy, and Glitter... and Branch

BRANCH: You're welcome.... (He hugs them)

POPPY: I think it's time for a song!

(Everyone on for CANTSTOP THE FEELING)
