From a young age, I have been driven by a deep-seated desire to help others and make a positive
impact on their lives. My Name is Azubueze chiemerie . Growing up in a family of healthcare
professionals, I was constantly exposed to the noble act of caregiving. These early experiences
ignited my passion for nursing and solidified my decision to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
(BSc) at university of Manitoba.
Throughout my academic journey, I have consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to the
sciences, excelling in subjects such as biology and chemistry. My high school education has equipped
me with a solid foundation in these areas, and I am eager to expand my knowledge and skills through
a rigorous nursing program. I am particularly drawn to University of Manitoba, because of its
outstanding reputation in the field of nursing education, state-of-the-art facilities, and experienced
faculty who are leaders in the healthcare industry.
In addition to my academic achievements, I have actively sought opportunities to gain practical
experience in the healthcare field. Volunteering at Goodluck laboratory has provided me with
invaluable hands-on experience and reinforced my passion for nursing. During my time there, I
assisted nurses with patient care, observed various medical procedures, and interacted with patients
and their families. These experiences have not only deepened my understanding of the nursing
profession but also strengthened my resolve to become a compassionate and competent nurse.
One of the aspects of nursing that resonates with me the most is the opportunity to build meaningful
relationships with patients. I believe that empathy and effective communication are essential
qualities for a successful nurse. My experience as a volunteer has taught me the importance of
listening to patients, understanding their needs, and providing emotional support during challenging
times. I am committed to developing these skills further and becoming an advocate for my patients’
well-being.
The dynamic and ever-evolving nature of the healthcare industry is another reason why I am
passionate about nursing. I am eager to stay abreast of the latest advancements in medical
technology and healthcare practices. University of Manitoba comprehensive curriculum and
emphasis on evidence-based practice will provide me with the knowledge and skills necessary to
deliver high-quality care in a rapidly changing environment.
Moreover, I am excited about the opportunity to participate in research and contribute to the
advancement of nursing knowledge. University of Manitoba focus on research and innovation aligns
perfectly with my long-term goal of pursuing a career in nursing research. I am particularly interested
in exploring areas such as patient safety, chronic disease management, and healthcare policy. By
engaging in research, I hope to contribute to the development of best practices that can improve
patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care.
On the successful completion of the course, I intend to return back to my home country as
there are huge prospects to build and improve a profession in the Nursing sector . . I have no
intention of prolonging my stay in Canada at the end of the program. Instead, I want to
assume challenging roles in the globalized nursing organizations in Nigeria,. Equipped with a
foreign degree, I am ascertained that I can acquire professional excellence in the functional
role that I am planning to assume.
In conclusion, I am confident that pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Manitoba
will provide me with the education, skills, and experiences necessary to achieve my career goals.And
