VIDEO 1 REFLECTION
Watching the video Jobert Bautista Toni Talks – Jobert’s Conviction left me speechless makes
me realize the lengths to which people can go in order to prove their innocence. Presented by
Toni Gonzaga the video chronologically narrates Jobert’s life and his strong belief system. This
reflection will look at faith and prevailing, together with the capacity beliefs have to change one’s
situation, as depicted in Jobert’s story. Jobert’s conviction is not simple as possessing strong
conviction; it’s more than that, it’s about moving with conviction. While explaining the concept of
faith at work, for the whole duration of the video, Jobert narrates incidents that questioned his
faith and patience. Still, he kept on pushing through, because he just wouldn’t give up and I was
in sheer awe of his strength. However, it a nice way to try and get more people close to him as
evident from the passionate conviction that Jobert has for the story. For as it is now it has
become common for people to flock where others are flocking or impersonator their role model
then the case of Jobert sent a good message to people to do what they want to do and stand for
what they believe in.
His story is evidence to show that one must not budge when confronted with difficulties and
must sacrifice or perform very badly when bearing vitally important convictions. Still, one of the
most striking facts in Jobert’s story is his strong religious belief. Spirituality gives him faith, the
light with which will enable him to learn and overcome the obstacles of life. This part of his
personality rings especially true, as showing that one must have absolutely such thing as
foundation to stand on during the worst phase of the life. Jobert’s faith is not only his own
source of solace; it is also a primary subject of his stories, or how he brings inspiration to people
to perhaps renew their faith, or gain a better understanding of it.
In conclusion, what I wanted to say that personally I was left speechless by the video “Jobert’s
Conviction Left Me Speechless” and, in terms of what I think should be learned regarding the
topic of conviction, there is much which can be taken and considered. Thus, I adopted
absolutely Jobert’s kind of experience because this can lighten up many things in many sectors
of people’s lives but who is more capable of doing specifically those things which men and
women of faith can perform if only, they will not lose focus and will keep on moving.
1. What are the valuable insights you gained after watching the video?
One is able to appreciate the beliefs and issues to do with faith, commitment, self-imposed view
and even the potency of the belief system of any given individual to change or even redeem
people. This I came to understand, understanding the case in point instance of Jobert, belief is
not a specification of holding a particular opinion but is more specifically a process of using that
opinion in a particular way whereby the character of those involved will be positively impacted
on. The story of Jobert also teaches us that being a person of faith is not just about effectively
and absolutism in the things one believes but in effectively and efficiently proving those beliefs.
VIDEO 2 REFLECTION
While watching the video, How Joy Mendoza Forgave the Seven Men Who Raped Her’ from the
Toni Talks YouTube channel I was touched emotionally and get the opportunity to explore the
subject of forgiveness, strengthen, and the journey to recover side by side with Joy Mendoza.
With the might of forgiveness this video is one clear depiction of how the human spirit is able to
prevail even in epoch making ordeals. The life of Joy Mendoza is possibly one of the most
ideologically composite narratives that encompass the worst forms of strength and valor. I have
loved most in her character the forgiving spirit as she forgave the men who had such an
immeasurable influence on her life. And on open up the whole question of forgiveness and
being forgiven again the chance of a new start and a redemption which lies beyond the sphere
of natural and social life. As Joy also undersigned, forgiveness is not a morale for someone that
has done it to another person but rather letting off that feeling of hatred.
This is a process that on one hand can lead to profound personal liberty and sovereignty and, in
general, happiness. The video also briefly speaks about faith on the journey of Joy partially
based on her spiritual core she was forced to cope with pain and look for a way to forgive. This
part of her story gives a possibility to comprehend how spirituality can assist people in case if
they have been traumatized. At some point in a person’s life, there is a desire to hear someone
tell them everything is going to be okay, no matter how bad things get. The video also puts the
viewers questions such as aspects of social issues such as sexual violence, it looks at system
questions. It makes one to open own eyes and start recognizing the survivors and struggle to
form a society that frowns at such incidents. It does this until the viewers are placed into a
position where they would like to be in supporting humane society. With this much let it be said
that ‘How Joy Mendoza Forgave the Seven Men Who Raped Her’ is a good and powerful video.
It leaves u with rather positive feeling of reconciliations, faith and even the persistence of
someone. As before, the textual evidence of Joy Mendoza is a news that there is hope and joy
despite suffering in life
2. How important it is to incorporate spirituality & religiosity in knowing oneself?
Spirituality and Religiosity provides well-being and its purpose. Some agree that spirituality or
religion is a major source of meaning in their lives and influences the many choices they make
in their lives. The closest I’ve come to a sense of purpose is knowing this can give the self a
really good anchor to develop around at times. A spiritual or religious practice can be defined as
an activity in which people recommend or partake in exercises including meditation, prayer or
contemplation, which is crucial in making the relevant party discover themselves. Furthermore,
there are significant positive relationships between spirituality and religiosity and emotional
hardness. Community also has an important role in the process as it can also strengthen the
subjectivity and offer a number of learning and development possibilities.
VIDEO 3 REFLECTION
Within the video, Baron is able to overcome several personal effects for instance substance
use, mental illnesses, and consequences of personal offenses. That is a very emotional story
and I believe every person will find the benefits of human strength in case. It stands on culture
of degradation where no human being is so degraded that he or she cannot better self and step
up. The subject of spirituality in the life of Baron is barely touched on in the video as well. In as
much as this part of his life looks very grim, it seems to be a core part of reclaiming his life and
healing. The last of the five themes explored in this section of the video is the sense of self and
belonging – the need to belong. According to the purpose of this work, spirituality is seen as
defender, that is, it aids a person in facing his/her problems and the search for the meaning of
pain. Thus, people read Baron’s story and start thinking how he/she’s life is and what he/she
has to face.
It makes us to start imagining how we handle such types of shortcomings and how we are able
to address such matters concerning self – improvement.
The video adds an important message of people having their battles and the stand, support and
the key to recognizing themselves as a winner. The other noteworthy set of topics of the video is
basic principles of communities and support networks. The travels of a man are in no way they
get to make by themselves, they are usually accompanied by friends and or families and or
other professionals. But this actually calls for a good family and friends support group as this
could a lot in determining a person’s recovery and wellbeing. Therefore. “The Demons Baron
Battled” is one of the videos that display real feelings and the victory over oneself. The issues
include aspects of psychological health, spirituality, and resources as patient’s try to solve
problems in life. Choosing a topic around Baron’s character was a plus since it was very
depreciating on a lot into what those diagnosed with cancer or other openability’s face as they
empower the rest of the society on how they can live better despite of their situation.
3. Do you consider mental health important? As a seminarian, how can you take care of your
own mental health?
This makes the journey identify the need to look for help and the need to own up that one has a
problem as some of the essential steps towards beating the problem. This is in conjunction with
the society’s call to consider the different people health issues and the need for proper support
of those in need. It is already expressing into his horrible events that his life Dangerous
Encounter Rational people know that admitting and asking for help are crucial for getting better.
