Cathe's Splendor Pyro
(Icy has posted his here already but his build sucks and is dated :basedhalt:)
(DISCLAIMER: ALL MY BUILDS ARE MEME TO SOME EXTENT; PROCEED WITH CAUTION; THIS WAS
DONE WITH PIP'S AND DERPY'S ADDONS)
(SECOND DISCLAIMER: THIS PARTICULAR BUILD IS NOT EVEN MEME, IS A GOOD ONE)
Artifact-independent filthy all-in Pyro build with built-in safety net
Ascension:
+Power and +Damage nodes take priority.
At 19 points (~lvl 14):
- The Huntress: 4.2, 5.1, take Hothead talent for safe Purity activation. Keep
yourself Hasted and PoM'd for extra crits.
- The Nymph: 5.2 for that "safety net": whenever you forget to cast your Medusa,
this node will discourage nearby enemies to continue their assault.
4th node makes me cry, but we may make use of it on later levels. @
Derpy rework The Nymph 4.x
- The Lizard (or the Beetle if you like it more) - just for ascension points. 1
into Core.
- Splendor: 3.2 - free Dazzle, more Combustion damag. If you have Tiger Predator in
your comp - even better.
4.2 - Ignition IS busted. Double Ignition - even more so. Caution:
Charged deals A LOT of damage - you don't want to be hit by your own proc.
5.2 - at this point of the build we can't make use of SP-on-reaction,
so for now we take a copy of the most busted spell in the game.
These Ascensions (except for Lizard) make the core of this build. Now just press
every reddish-orange button on your hotbars to dish out DAMAG.
Later on you have a couple of options:
Option 1 "WE HAZ CENTURION":
Nets more damage, but is much squishier due to no Purity CD reductions.
- The Enchantress: 4.1, 5.2: proc Eles on allied Centurions, get crits and
resistances for that. Once completed - you can change Splendor 5.2 to Splendor 5.3
and enjoy a bonus SP every round.
- At lvl 20 you can top this off with The Arcanist: 4.2, 5.2 for some VS and bonus
POWAH.
Option 2 "Pure of mind and can heal":
Huge Purity CD reduction, but no Ele stack bonuses and unreliable Splendor SP (if
you even want to switch to that).
- Take Nymph 4.3 for that - now it'll net you some value.
- The Casque: 4.2, 5.2 - you want to proc a lot of Celestials.
Finish this off with Hippo or Stag and have a couple of points to spare.
Artifacts:
- Cataclysm - free EA.
- If you go with option 2 - Rapture.
- Gluttony - big damage boost and we want that.
- Onslaught - ^
- Dominion - some more free Subjs.
- Serenity - even though Derpy gutted it, it's still a helmet slot and is nice to
have.
- Angel's Egg - any poor melee fucker deciding to target you will be in a world of
hurt.
- Drog's Luck - the only downside is not being able to use Acclimate on fire
surfaces, but, hey, DAMAG.
- Prophecy - Aero is nice to have and Aero means free Initiative, so free AP.
Skills:
- All Pyro. Keep yourself Hasted and PoM'd.
- Huntsman at 1. Precast Farsight. At 2 AP it's hard to justify casting in-combat,
unless you need it to cleanse. First Aid is also nice to have just in case.
- Poly at 3. Wings, Medusa, Forced Exchange and Terrain Transmutation are all too
good to pass. If you don't have Drog's - Acclimate is good as well.
- Once your Pyro is maxed you can build Aero. Notable skills - Aerosphere, Nether
Swap, Superconductor, Chain Lightning, Thunderstorm.
Stats:
- Full POWAH.
- CON after that. Staying alive is pretty important for dealing damage.
Gear:
- Whatever robes, dual-wield for stats n runes.
- Derpy's buffed whatever-it's-called electric sword is godsent because of fine
stats and Charge immunity.
- Power and Crit runes for weapon.
Talents:
- Elemental Affinity - too good.
- Demon - too good.
- Hothead - need Prosperity for Huntress.
- Savage Sortilege - crit is king.
- Morning Person - once your Initiative is high enough (I had ~100 without really
even trying)
To sum it up - press red-orange buttons, manage your Subjs and burn them all.
Tested on Impossible (with option 1, mind you).
