SUBJECT: Warranty Repair of AVStar Fuel Systems, Inc. Fuel Control Products
REASON FOR REVISION: Update AVStar warranty information sheet, and contact information.
NOTE
Incomplete review of all the information in this document can cause errors. Read the entire
Service Letter to make sure you have a complete understanding of the requirements.
This Service Letter includes the revised Warranty Information Sheet and updates the Authorized AVStar
Fuel Systems Inc. Product Support Sales and Service Centers list to include a location in the United Kingdom.
Lycoming requires that any AVStar Fuel Systems Inc. fuel control product that needs to be repaired, within
the warranty period, be sent directly to AVStar Fuel Systems Inc. or an Authorized AVStar Fuel Systems Inc.
Product Support Sales and Service Center for verification and corrective action.
The attached AVStar Fuel Systems Inc. warranty procedures will prevail, except that claims for the removal
and installation labor component and associated freight charges must be submitted through an authorized
Lycoming distributor. Applications for labor and freight will be considered only if the appropriate Warranty
Application is properly executed and is submitted with a copy of the attached AVStar Fuel Systems Inc.
Warranty Information Sheet, FORM AFS852-F3 REV 3, showing acceptance of the claim.
When submitting your part to AVStar Fuel Systems Inc., be sure all important information is provided to
include:
● AIRCRAFT OWNERS NAME AND ADDRESS
● AIRCRAFT MODEL, S/N, DELIVERY DATE AND DATE OF OCCURRENCE (of problem)
● ENGINE MODEL AND S/N
● AVSTAR FUEL SYSTEMS INC. UNIT MODEL, PART NUMBER AND S/N
● HOURS SINCE NEW OR OVERHAUL
Complying with this new procedure will benefit all involved.
