It is a universal fact that for the study of a thesis in depth, I need the support of
many people right from the stage of conceiving the idea to completion of the report. It is
difficult for a single person to do the job efficiently without interaction and
involvement of others. First and foremost, I thank The Almighty God for blessing, protecting
and guiding me throughout this period. I could never have accomplished this without the
faith I have in the Almighty.
I thank my Guide Dr. M. Jeyakumari, M.Com., M.Phil., Ph.D., Associate Professor,
PG. & Research Department of Commerce, V.O.Chidambaram College. My thesis would
have been incomplete if not for her constant guidance and direction. I am thankful to her for
support, motivation and untiring help during the course of my Ph.D. I am thankful to the
Almighty for giving me a mentor like her.
