Instruction: Short answer
1) How do we Inspect tools and equipment?
Once you have your equipment and tools ready, inspect them for any signs of wear, damage, or
malfunction. Look for any cracks, leaks, corrosion, loose wires, or faulty connections. Test the
functionality and performance of your equipment, and make sure it meets the specifications and
standards of your job. If you find any issues, report them to your supervisor or manager, and do
not use the equipment until it is fixed or replaced.
2) How can cultivate the habit of cleaning?
The condition of a car can increase or decrease the value. Owning a car requires regular
maintenance and cleaning. Not only will this keep the vehicle more comfortable (and sanitary)
for daily driving, but routine cleanings and maintenance also can help owners spot issues and fix
small issues before they become more costly or dangerous.
It’s easy to lose track of a car’s maintenance schedule or even put off a trip to a car wash. Get in
the habit of regular maintenance. keeping your car clean to help preserve the condition of the
vehicle and its resale value, too. Set maintenance reminders on a phone
Include a portable trash can in the car, keep cleaning wipes in the trunk or in the glove
compartment, Handle spills immediately, don’t ignore warning lights, invest in a small portable
vacuum, Wash the car about twice per month, professionally detail twice per year, wipe down
the steering wheel frequently and don’t forget to clean out the trunk etc.
3) What the best practices for lubricate tools and equipment?
A lubricant is a substance designed to reduce friction, heat and wear when introduced as a film
between solid surfaces. Using the correct lubricant and making sure you stay on top of your
maintenance really helps to maximize the life of your tools and equipment which in turn helps
you to save money, time, manpower thus making operations more efficient and more reliable.
Often tool and equipment lubrication are overlooked and considered an ‘added benefit’ that isn’t
3
really all that important for the overall condition of your equipment. In reality, lubricants are
substances which play a major role in bearing and machinery function and longevity by reducing
wear of moving parts, reducing friction between rotating and stationary parts, absorbing shock
and reducing operating temperatures. Lubricating your tools and equipment can also help to
minimize corrosion of metal surfaces, keep contaminants out of the system as well as seal and
protect the components.
4) What are the storing tools and equipment?
Proper care and storage of tools and equipment does not only lie on the grasp of the management
but also extends to workers who use the equipment as well. It is an important factor for safety
and health as well as good business. Improves appearance of general-shop and construction
areas. Reduces over-all tool cost through maintenance. This also ensures that tools are in good
condition.
