DATA ANALYTICS
Data analytics is the process of analysing raw data to find
trends and draw conclusions about the information they
contain. Increasingly, data analytics is done with the help of
specialised systems and softwares.
Data analytics initiatives can help businesses increase
revenue, improve operational efficiency, optimise marketing
campaigns and bolster customer satisfaction efforts across
multiple industries. It can also help organisations to
personalise customer experiences, predict future trends,
reduce operational costs, etc.
India has experienced unmatched growth in data analytics in
the past few years. Data analysts are in high demand in
today's job market and this trend is expected to continue
well into the future. The demand for data analysts can be
attributed to the increasing importance of data-driven
decision-making in businesses and organisations of all sizes.
According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics,
employment of data analysts and other related occupations
is projected to grow by 33% in the next five years, which is
much faster than the average for all occupations. Another
report by IBM estimated that by 2025, there will be over
2.7 million job postings for data analysts and data scientists
in the US alone. It is expected to touch US$11.87 billion by
2026 as it keeps growing at a steady pace. This industry will
disrupt the market, causing a great shift in it and bringing
several job opportunities with it.
Pursuing a career as a data analyst offers a promising path
filled with opportunities for growth, impact and exploration
in virtually every industry.
ETHICAL HACKING
Ethical hacking is an authorised practice of detecting
vulnerabilities in an application, system or organisation’s
infrastructure and bypassing system security to identify
potential data breaches and threats in a network.
Ethical hackers have the same skills and use the same tools
and tactics as malicious hackers, but their goal is always to
improve network security without harming the network or
its users.
With the immense globalisation and the companies
expanding their businesses, all companies need to have their
data safe and secure. Industries ranging from banking and
finance to healthcare, e-commerce and government sectors
require robust cybersecurity measures. The Digital India
initiative aims to transform India into a digitally empowered
society and knowledge economy. Security consultant,
forensics investigator, network security system manager,
web security administrator are some of the job categories
of an ethical hacker.
Ethical hacking skills are highly valued and professionals
typically command competitive salaries. As per the recent
survey, it is estimated that the job of an ethical hacker is
going to increase by 17.5% across the world by the year
2025. The average starting salary of an ethical hacker is
around 4,70,000 per annum and is bound to touch the sky in
the next few years.
In a nutshell, ethical hacking in India is set to progress
significantly in the upcoming times driven by increased
awareness, government support, digital transformation
across sectors, industry demand, technological
advancements and global opportunities.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Business development is the process of planning for future
growth by identifying new opportunities, forming
partnerships and adding value to a company. It involves
understanding the target audience, market opportunities
and effective outreach channels to drive success.
Very few companies expand and grow organically. Unless
their growth is systematically planned and strategised,
companies run a huge risk of exhausting resources and
overshooting budgets. Therefore, if a company is seeking to
expand and grow, business development opportunities may
be the best solution.
Business development may involve objectives around sales
growth, business expansion, strategic partnerships and
increased profitability. The process impacts every
department, including sales, marketing, manufacturing,
human resources, accounting, finance, product development
and vendor management. Business development leaders and
team members need a diverse range of both soft and hard
skills to meet these objectives.
Skills required for business development
● Sales skills
● Communication skills
● Marketing skills
● Analytical skills
● Project management skills
Crafting a well-thought-out business development plan can
help the organisation identify its goals and generate a punch
list of tasks for its team to accomplish to help achieve
growth. Having a vision and putting together a good team
are among the factors that help predict success in business
development.
A well-executed business development plan not only
supports short-term revenue growth but also ensures
long-term sustainability.
DIGITAL MARKETING
Digital marketing is the use of websites, apps, mobile
devices, social media, search engines and other digital
means to promote and sell products and services.
Its development during the 1990s and 2000s changed the
way brands and businesses use technology for marketing. As
digital platforms became increasingly incorporated into
marketing plans and as people increasingly used digital
devices instead of visiting physical shops, digital marketing
campaigns have become prevalent, employing combinations
of search engine optimization (SEO), search engine
marketing (SEM), content marketing, influencer marketing,
data-driven marketing, e-commerce marketing, social media
marketing, display advertising have become commonplace.
Digital marketing has become prominent largely because it
not only reaches such a wider audience of people than
traditional marketing but also carries a lower cost.
Overhead costs for newspaper ads, television spots and
other traditional marketing opportunities can be high. With
digital marketing, we can create just 1 content piece that
draws visitors to our blog as long as it's active. We can
create an email marketing campaign that delivers messages
to targeted customer lists on a schedule and it's easy to
change that schedule or the content if needed to do so.
Digital marketing is one of the primary focuses of almost
any business’s overall marketing strategy. Never before has
there been a way to stay in such consistent contact with
customers and nothing else offers the level of
personalization that digital data can provide. The more we
embrace the possibilities of digital marketing, the more we
will be able to realise our company's growth potential.
UI DESIGN
User interface (UI) design is the process designers use to
build interfaces in software or computerised devices,
focusing on looks or style. UI design refers to graphical
user interfaces and other forms-e.g., voice-controlled
interfaces.
Behind every innovative modern technology that makes life
easier for users worldwide are user interface (Ul)
designers, whose smart decisions make technology more
accessible, engaging and intuitive. The designer also makes
the UI accessible so the user can get the most out of the
software.
A Ul designer performs the following range of tasks and
decisions that might include:
• Testing new designs on mobile and desktop
• Managing prototype content in wireframes
• Instructing teams on low-fidelity and high-fidelity
prototyping
• Making style guides for design consistency across screens
• Translating business requirements to functional Ul design
A career as a User Interface designer is evolving which
attracts a huge amount of attention in the ever-changing
world. Because more and more companies are making their
presence online, UI design is progressively becoming a
significant and widespread specialisation in design. The
career as a Ul Designer aims to strengthen the experience
for users by making interactions with the web page or
software quick, engaging, easy and efficient. With
competitive salaries in India where UI professionals are
earning upto 4.8 LPA on average, the highest ones go upto
13 LPA.
UI design has significant scope in India due to the rapid
growth of the tech industry, the increasing number of
startups and the global demand for digital products.
