Final Project Report

Title of the project work

For those who carried out the internship

Provide a complete description of your internship. In particular, explicitly include the type of work,
what you have learned, and the outcome of your experience. Include the information about the
company or center in which you worked, specifying the number of days/hours and the period.

For those who did not carry out the internship

Provide a compact summary of the activity carried out. In particular, explicitly include the scope of
the work, ranging from supplementary analysis or research based on a book chapter or paper to the
application of a known technique to a different example. Three to four sentences max (i.e., less than
half page) with emphasis on your contribution.
Provide additional details and outcomes. Typical examples of the work include but are not limited to:
(i) read a paper related to your curriculum plan and interests, discuss the background and highlight the
scope and results obtained by the authors; (ii) apply a technique you have studied to a different
application example (better if inspired from a real problem); (iii) study a book chapter related to some
extra material which was only partially addressed in one of your courses offered in the academic
curriculum; summarize basic idea/understanding and provide some examples, (iv) discuss an
industrial problem and study the state-of-the-art solutions (e.g., RFID in the automotive industry).
Emphasize possible numerical results obtained by yourself or practical activities you carried out. It is
important to remark that you must include here only original material with your summary, thus
allowing the reader to understand both the objective of the activity and your contribution. Do not
merely reproduce the original material you started from (e.g., a paper, a book chapter, or a Thesis).
This report must be compact, not exceeding a total number of 5 pages, including figures or
schemes (e.g. one or two).
Please note that you will be evaluated based on both the work carried out and on the quality of this
report. A final score is determined on a scale from 0 to 3 points.
