IMPORTANT NOTE: In YouTube > settings.. Turn on Subtitles to see captions in your language
Saving Parameters
NOTE: You MUST save parameters before doing any software updates to the
machine.
To save parameters from the machine, do the following:
1. Press "Functions > Exit Runtime > Yes". This will bring you to the
Windows desktop.
2. Open the Revolution Commissioner tool using the icon (Figure 1) on the
desktop. If this is not found on the desktop go to "Start > All Programs >
Vector Systems > RevolutionCommissioner > RevolutionCommissioner"

3. Press the "Read Data" button, this will prompt you to save the parameters
to a file, save them to the default "PARAMETERS" folder which can be
found on the desktop.

4. Check the "PARAMETERS" folder, there should be a file with the date
and time it was saved as its name, for example: "2018-02-09_T17.11.51".
If found, the parameters were saved successfully.
5. It is recommended that a backup is taken of this file using a USB stick.

Loading PLC Software
NOTE: You MUST save parameters before doing any software updates to the
machine.
To load new PLC software into the machine, do the following:
1. Copy the "sys" and "usr" folders provided in your software update
package onto an otherwise blank USB memory key.
2. Safely eject this USB memory key from the computer you are using and

3. Insert it into the USB port on the PLC, at this point you should see the
USB Host light (Figure 4) start to flash green.
4. Once the USB host light (Figure 4) has turned solid green, remove the
USB memory key.
5. The PLC must now be power cycled, to do this, remove and replace fuse
1-1 (Figure 3).

6. Once the RUN/MS light (Figure 4) starts to flash quickly, the PLC has
booted up. Now remove and replace fuse 1-6 (Figure 3) to start the PLC
program. The RUN/MS light (Figure 4) should begin to flash more slowly
in a different pattern.
7. Loading of the software is now complete and parameters must be re-
written to the PLC.

IMPORTANT! After a PLC software update, the
machine parameters must be reloaded into the PLC.
Reloading Parameters
To load parameters to the machine, do the following:
1. Press "Functions > Exit Runtime > Yes". This will bring you to the
Windows desktop.
2. Open the Revolution Commissioner tool using the icon (Figure 5) on the
desktop. If this is not found on the desktop go to "Start > All Programs >
Vector Systems > RevolutionCommissioner > RevolutionCommissioner"

3. Press the "Write Data" button, this will prompt you to open a parameters
file, select the one you saved before updating the software.
4. A dialogue box will pop up confirming that the load was successful.
NOTE: a red alarm message CHECK MACHINE PARAMETERS will appear if
parameters are not reloaded after software update.

IMPORTANT! Save settings programs
prior to screen update!
Save Settings Any settings programs saved using the Save Load button on the control screen
programs prior will be lost during screen software updates.
to Screen To save these setting programs the following procedure should be followed:
Update
This procedure should be repeated for each setting program.
1 Open the program in Save/Load.
2 Send settings to PLC
3 Exit runtime and use Revolution Commissioner to save all settings.
4 Make a note of the filename in conjunction with the settings program
name.
5 Do this for each setting program.
When the PLC software has been updated, it will be possible to re-write the
settings programs individually. Each time the setting program is re-written, a

Programs after Save Load program can be created and saved according to the original name.
Screen Update
NOTE: Machines with projection do not require this process because the
settings are stored separately on the Projection PC hard drive and are not
erased during screen or plc updates.
Loading HMI Software
NOTE: You MUST save parameters before doing any software updates to the
machine.
To load new HMI software into the machine, do the following:
1. Copy the .vda file onto a USB memory key. This file will be named
something like "Vector2HMI_<Version_Number>.vda".
2. Safely eject this USB memory key from the computer you are using and
then remove it.
3. Open the console by removing the M6 bolt in the centre at the front.
4. Insert the USB memory key into the console PC.
5. Open "Vijeo Designer Application Installer", this should be found on the
desktop but if it is not go to "Start > All Programs > Schneider Electric >
Vijeo Designer > Tools" to find it.
6. Browse for the .vda file on the USB memory key and select it.
7. Press "OK" to load the HMI software. Once a confirmation dialogue box
pops up, the update is complete.
8. Reopen the HMI software by opening "Vijeo Designer Runtime" which is a
green icon (Error! Reference source not found.) on the desktop.

Document Key
File paths and menu structures
File paths and menu structures might be represented by using a ">" symbol to
represent a touch, click, or similar. For example, "Desktop > PARAMETERS"
means that we have navigated from the "Desktop" and then to the
"PARAMETERS" folder.
When talking about the HMI menu structure, all paths will begin from the home
page which can be accessed at any time by touching the Vector Systems logo.
For example, "Troubleshooting > Password" would mean that from the home
page, we touched the "Troubleshooting" button, and then we touched the
"Password" button.
