The settings are around campus - academic pressure where we

meet two students Alice and Kyle as the main characters.
They help bring out topic mental health awareness (academic
pressure) UNSEEN BATTLES.
MENTAL HEALTH Awareness

Title: "Unseen Battles"

EXT. CAMPUS benches – DAY-WIDE SHOT/ HIGH CAMERA LEVEL

Characters:

ALICE (mid-20s, university student, struggling with mental

health issues)

JANE (mid-20s, Alice’s supportive classmate and friend)

Time(01:15)

SCENE 1: CAMPUS BENCH – DAY- Close up shot

We see ALICE sitting alone on a bench in the middle of

campus. Students pass by, chatting and laughing, but Alice
is disconnected from it all. She stares blankly at her phone
screen, not engaging. JANE approaches, holding some juice.

JANE

(slightly out of breath)

Hey, I’ve been looking for you. You missed class again.
Thought I’d bring you your usual – juice.

EXTREME CLOSE UP SHOT

Jane hands her the coffee, but ALICE just nods slightly, not
making eye contact. Jane notices the tension in her face.

JANE

(softer)

How are you really doing, Alice?

MEDIUM SHOTS

Alice glances up at him, her face revealing exhaustion.

ALICE

(low, tired)

I don’t know, Jane... It’s like I’m drowning. Every deadline

feels like a weight I can’t carry, and I can’t even get out
of bed some mornings.

LONG SHOT/LOW CAMERA ANGLE

Jane sits next to her on the bench, giving her space but
staying close enough to show support.

JANE

(caring)

You don’t have to carry all this by yourself, you know?

We’re all struggling with school, but this feels different.
You’ve been distant for a while.

ALICE

(sighing, voice breaking)

I don’t want people to think I’m weak. Everyone else seems

to be handling everything just fine. I’m the one falling
apart.

OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT/OVER THE SHOULDER ANGLE

Jane looks at her, his tone becoming more serious but

compassionate.

JANE

(softly)

Alice, no one’s handling everything as perfectly as they

seem. Just because we don’t talk about it doesn’t mean it’s
not there. You’re not weak – you’re human. And there’s
nothing wrong with asking for help.
WIDE SHOT/EYE CAMERA ANGLE

Alice stares at the students walking past, a tear forming in

her eye but she holds it back.

Time (01:05)

SCENE 2: FLASHBACK – CLASS ROOM – NIGHT-EXTREME CLOSE UP

SHOT

We see ALICE in a class room, alone. The desk is cluttered

with textbooks and unfinished assignments. She sits at her
desk, staring at her books, unable to study. Her phone buzzes,
messages from group chats pop up, but she doesn’t respond.
She curls up on her bed, eyes wide open, unable to sleep.

Time(01:30)

SCENE 3: BACK TO CAMPUS BENCH – DAY-MEDIUM SHOT

Alice snaps back to the present, glancing down at her

untouched juice. She finally looks at Jane.
ALICE

(low, trembling)

I’ve thought about going to the counseling center on

campus... but what if they don’t take me seriously? What if
they think I’m just being dramatic?

Jane shifts closer, his voice calm but firm.

JANE

(supportive)

They won’t. That’s what they’re there for. To listen, to

help. It’s okay to need extra support. No one can do this
alone, Alice. I know things seem overwhelming right now, but
talking to someone could really help.

EXTREME CLOSE UP SHOT

Alice wipes away a tear, this time allowing herself to feel

her emotions.

ALICE

(softly)

I just don’t know where to start. Everything feels like too

much.

OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT

Jane places a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

JANE

(gently)

You don’t have to figure it all out today. Small steps,

remember? Even just booking an appointment at the counseling
center is a step forward. I’ll come with you if you want.

Alice looks at him, her expression softening, a small

glimmer of hope in her eyes.

ALICE

(teary)

You would?

JANE

(earnest)

Of course. You don’t have to do this alone.

EXTREME CLOSE UP SHOT-EYE LEVEL ANGLE

The camera lingers on Alice as she takes a deep breath,

nodding slowly. There’s a small but meaningful shift in her
posture, as if a little weight has been lifted.
Time (00:40)

SCENE 4: CAMPUS COUNSELING CENTER – DAY

A week later, we see Alice standing outside the campus

counseling center. She’s nervous, her foot tapping the
ground. Kyle stands beside her, offering silent support. She
takes a deep breath and walks inside.

Time ( 01: 05)

SCENE 5: CAMPUS bench– DAY-HIGH CAMERA ANGLE

Alice and Jane are sitting on the grass, relaxing under the
sun. Alice’s expression is lighter, the weight visibly
reduced from her face. She takes a sip of coffee, this time
more engaged with her surroundings.

JANE

(smiling)

You seem more... yourself today.

ALICE

(slightly smiling)

I had my first session yesterday. It was hard, but... it

helped. I’m not fixed, but at least now I feel like I’m not
drowning anymore.

Jane nods encouragingly.

JANE

That’s all that matters. Small steps. I’m really proud of

you, Alice.

ALICE

(sincerely)

Thanks, Jane . For sticking around. I couldn’t have done this

without you.

WIDE SHOT

They sit in a comfortable silence as students walk past, the

world continuing to move, but Alice is finally starting to
feel part of it again.
