Course Description:
The course is designed to enumerate and describe the different personal identification techniques applied in crime detection and investigation.
Specifically, it focuses on fingerprint records, developing of latent prints and identification and classification of fingerprints for purposes of court presentation.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, the student should able to:
1. Discuss the fundamentals of Personal Identification
2. Discuss the introduction of fingerprint identification
3. Identify the fingerprint characteristics and formation
4. Produce and explain real fingerprint impressions
5. Memorize the different classification of fingerprints
6. Illustrate the collection and preservation of fingerprint evidence
7. Apply fingerprint identification
