3. as + adj + as
- S + be + as + adj + as + danh từ/ đại từ (cũng… như): để thể hiện hai sự vật, hiện tượng
tương tự nhau.
Ví dụ: Folk music is as melodic as pop music.
(Nhạc dân gian thì du dương như là nhạc pop.)
- S + be + not as + adj + as (không… như…): để thể hiện một sự vật, hiện tượng hơn
hoặc kém so với sự vật, hiện tượng khác.
Ví dụ: Classical music is not as exciting as rock.
(Nhạc cổ điển không thú vị bằng nhạc rock.)

Exercise 6: Choose the correct words or phrases:
1. Ta sử dụng some và any trước danh từ số nhiều hoặc danh từ không đếm được

Tuy nhiên, ta sử dụng some trong câu hỏi khi mong đợi câu trả lời ‘yes’:
Would you like some more cake?
Could I have some tea, please?
4. Ta có thể sử dụng no thay cho not . . . any với danh từ số nhiều hoặc danh từ
không đếm được. No mang nghĩa mạnh hơn not . . . any và thường được sử dụng
trong tình huống trang trọng hơn:
I don’t have any time to speak to you now.
I have no time to speak to you now.
5. Ta phải sử dụng no với danh từ, nhưng sử dụng none một mình khi diễn đạt cùng
một ý nghĩa như thế:
I want to buy a ticket for the concert, but there were none left.
(none = no tickets)
Ta có thể sử dụng some, any và none + of:
some of the boys; any of the people; none of the teachers
6. Ta thường sử dụng a lot of trong câu khẳng định; much và many trong câu phủ
định và câu hỏi:
