Issue Description
On a certain day, after the NetStar component was upgraded to 6.0.210, the FD function was tested
and the operation failed.
Handling Process
1. In the fiber detection window, select multiple optical cables for detection. The fault is
consistent. The detection method and mode are the same as those before the U2000 upgrade.
Therefore, it is suspected that the NetStar component upgrade is faulty.
2. Check the upgrade process of NetStar. It is found that no error is reported during the upgrade.
After the upgrade, import the sor file according to the NetStar Upgrade Guide.
3. Run the following command:
#cd /opt/oss/server/etc/mds
#ll
Check the permission on the sor folder in the MDS and the permission on files in the sor folder.
It is found that all the files belong to the root user, but the permission of sor files must belong to
the ossuser user. Otherwise, the sor files may fail to be read during detection, as shown in the
following figure.

4. After the upgrade of the NetStar component, the sor folder was uploaded by the root user.
Use the FTP tool to delete the sor folder. Then, upload the folder as user ossuser and then
perform FD detection. The function works normally.
Root Cause
The sor folder is uploaded by the root user. As a result, data fails to be read during fiber
detection.
Solution
Upload the sor folder again as the ossuser user.
Suggestions
To upgrade the NetStar component, back up the sor file according to the upgrade guide.
However, after the upgrade, use the ossuser account.
For a board without a CPU, the FPGA file is used to start the board. The FPGA file runs on the
system control board of the subrack that houses the board. Therefore, boards without a CPU
cannot work normally. In such cases, check whether the system control board in the slave
subrack is abnormal.
