Question 3:
Following equations have a repeated root. Find the value of k:
(a) -3+kx-2x2=0
(b) kx2-px+q=0

Question 4:
The following equations have number of roots in brackets. Deduce as much as you
can about the value of k;
(a) x2+3x+k=0
(b) kx2-5x+7=0

Use the value of discriminant b2-4ac to determine the number of points of the
