Chapter 2- test (2)
01 walked in to the tent and saw the soldier with a crimson
pen, the pen had many tiny inscriptions on it that glow
whenever he writes.
“Name?” The soldier said in an indifferent tone
“01”
“Tell me your real name, boy” the soldier said, he was getting a
bit annoyed because he thought the boy was messing with him.
“01 is my real name” 01 one said, his tiny hands held on to his
T-shirt he was nervous and confused as to why the soldier
didn’t think 01 one was his real name. All his life in the
orphanage everyone called him 01 from birth to this day
“ok, fine if you don’t want to tell me your name I will just read
your file” the soldier said, it was apparent that he was very
annoyed as to why this child didn’t want to give his real name.
The soldier reached out in his cabinet and retrieved a file with
the picture of the boy and read it’s contents

Date of birth: estimate 2118, June
Origin: unknown
Parents: unknown
Staff statement: 01 is a weird child, he doesn’t speak much but
at time he will be seen carrying the aura of a veteran. At times
he will act on impulse and attack those he doesn’t like or know.
He behaves like a wild animal at times (he acts on only instincts
and not common sense). And lastly his strangest ability yet is
his ability to adapt to any conditions may it be the cold winter
or got summer.
“I will give you a proper name later for now I will conduct the
test” the soldier said calmly “I will condense mana particles
from the air for you to absorb. After absorption you will place
your hands on each of these orbs to see which one lights up. If
the red orb light up you are a mage, if the yellow orb light up
you are a booster, if the purple orb light up you are a tame and
if the white orb light up you are a supporting mage. If none
lights up you have failed the test and will return to the
orphanage immediately. You may begin”
Tiny blue balls started to form and then get absorbed by the 01
01 stretched his tiny hands out to touch the red orb, his eyes
bright with expectation that the red orb would light up.
However when he made contact their was no reaction. Without
hesitation 01 moved to the second orb but just like the first one
there wasn’t any reaction. 01 was panicking, he was on the last
2 orbs now. Even in his panicked state he kept a calm
demeanor and look. He moved to the purple orb which was the
3rd but like the rest no reaction could be seen.
01 looked towards the last orb he could no longer keep the
calm look. Their was tears welling up in his eyes this seen
shocked the instructor. But 01 was still a child after all.
01 touched the last orb, which was the white orb, there was
still no reaction but 01 held on to it even though there was no
reaction. The orb let out a bright light after a couple seconds.
The light was blinding, those outside the tent could clearly see
the light emitted from the orb even though the tent was closed.
When the light finally dimmed down an expression of shock
was on the soldiers face.
This light signifies a 90 percent usage of mana, too bad it’s on a
support type mage. Oh well, I still can get some benefit if I send
this information to vice-president.
