Note: Re-calibrate earth resistance annually. Resistance value should be less than 5 ohms.
To lower earth resistance, add water in earth pit.

Environmental Impact
Reduction in Carbon Footprint

There are no harmful emissions released in the environment when Solar PV system is in
production.
373 kWp Solar PV system will generate approximately 480, 200 kW annually

Clean Coal produces 700 g/kWh of GHG

Natural Gas produces 400 g/kWh of GHG
The following chart compares the emissions chart of different fossil fuels for the system size of
373 kWp
Yearly Carbon Footprint Impact
Fuel Source Solar Natural Gas Coal
Emissions (tCO2e) 0 1471 2289

25 Years Carbon Footprint Impact *

Fuel Source Solar Natural Gas Coal
Emissions (tCO2e) 0 32502 49769

.* Yearly efficiency of 90% for first ten years and 85% for last 15 years
The reduction in the carbon footprint by implementing solar PV systems in the power
production will make positive impact on the sustainability report.
Furthermore, the carbon credits generated through the solar PV systems can be claimed and
monetized after validation.

Preventive Maintenance Guidelines

Solar PV arrays are not shaded Encroaching vegetation may shade the array
All arrays are clear of debris from underneath The build up of debris may result in roof corrosion
or around from the backing up of water
All individual panels are clean Dirt, grime, algae growth and bird droppings on the
module may affect performance
No visual defects in module Panel discolouration may indicate an internal panel
fault
No indication of moisture penetration Internal moisture ingress will result in panel failure
No indication of corrosion on the frame or Ferrous metals may corrode, and salt laden
mountings atmospheres can increase the risk of corrosion
Arrays are firmly fixed to roof structure Loose or missing fixings may result in wind damage
Individual modules are firmly fixed to array Loose or missing panel clamps may result in modules
structure dislodging during wind
No loose or missing panel clamps
Roof penetrations adequately sealed Inadequate sealing will lead to moisture ingress
Conduits and cables are adequately Cables and conduit in contact with the roof surface
supported may cause abrasion
Cables and conduit in contact with the roof Damage or deterioration to cables and conduit may
surface may cause abrasion cause moisture ingress or short circuits
Connections are not frayed, loose or Poor connections may cause overheating resulting in
corroded failure
Conduit ends are adequately sealed Moisture ingress into conduits may result in cable
deterioration or moisture within enclosures
Enclosures are adequately sealed and show Moisture ingress into an enclosure may result in an
no signs of moisture ingress unsafe failure
Enclosures showing no signs of internal Enclosures that are warped or discoloured may be
heating overheating internally which could create a fire risk
Earth fault protection system operates Essential for the safe operation of the system
correctly (if required refer to applicable
requirements)
Isolators function correctly, are able to be Essential for the safe operation of the system
operated and are effective
