TIME MANAGEMENT QUESTIONNAIRE (TSQ)
By Britton & Tesser (1991)
The Time Management Questionnaire (TMQ) developed by Britton and Tesser was used. It includes 18 questions distributed in three
indicators: Short-Range Planning includes 7 questions; Time Attitudes includes 6 questions, and Long-Range Planning includes 5 questions. All the
questions were valued based on the Likert scale of five value scores: Always (5), Frequently (4), Sometimes (3), Infrequently (2), and Never (1).
However, responses for questions 8, 10, 12, and 15 were reversed.
The potential score range was 18-90 for the 18 questions in the time management scale, 7-35 for the short-range planning sub-scale, 6-30 for
the time attitudes sub-scale, and 5-25 for the long-range planning sub-scale. Elevated values on the scale are indicative of more effective time
management practices.
