to reflect on one aspect of the chosen location that
stands out to them.
Expressive Snapshot:
Ask students to share a single, clear sentence
describing the chosen location. Encourage the use of
descriptive language and sensory details.
Go around the class quickly, giving each student a
turn to share their snapshot. Keep responses concise,
aiming for one sentence per student.

Students will describe elements of their
environment in Davao City using appropriate
vocabulary and expressions.
Begin with a class discussion about what
“environment” means. Relate it to familiar places in
Davao City, like homes, schools, parks, or local
landmarks.
Environment – this is what surrounds us. It may be
living or non-living things.
the people and things that are around you in your
life, for example the buildings you use, the people
you live or work with, and the general situation you
are in
Show pictures or illustrations of key locations in
Davao City. Ask students to identify and share
what they notice in these images.

3. Application (25 minutes)
Activity 1: "EnviroExplorer" (Pair Activity)
Discuss elements of Davao City's environment.
Provide a list of items for a scavenger hunt (e.g.,
something green, a natural sound).
The teacher will let the students choose a partner.
The students will go outside the classroom and hunt
the items hidden around the school premises.
In pairs, students describe and discuss the items they
find.
Sharing Findings
Gather students and have each pair share one
interesting find.
Accommodations
Incorporate short movement breaks during the
scavenger hunt.
Provide visual or written prompts for the items.
Keep discussions brief and focused.
Activity 2: "EnviRolePlay"
The teacher will group the students into 5.
The teacher will provide cards with different

A brief sharing activity that encourages students to
creatively express aspects of their environment.
The teacher will prepare a set of visual cards
featuring iconic elements of Davao City’s
environment.

details of your chosen place. Pay attention to what

Create a Snapshot:
Write a short description (2-3 sentences) of your
favorite place using descriptive words. Include details
about the environment, colors, and any special
features.
Visual Representation:
Create a simple drawing or collage that represents
