Intelligence activities
This course covers the basic principles on relevant Laws, Constitutional Rights, New Rules on
Evidence and Criminal Procedure in relation to Investigation. It includes the entire perspective of
COURSE Intelligence operations and organization, and the different methods of gathering and collecting of
DESCRIPTION Information. The different methods of Extracting Information, the different instruments to aid the
investigation, Crime Scene processing, Arrest, Search and Seizure, Cyber Warrant, Wiretapping, the
making of investigation reports, Case build up and the preparation of evidence for court presentation.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES


The BS Criminology Department envisions itself to be a leading BS Criminology training school of highly competent,
professional, and registered criminologists with established industry partnerships with the government and/or private sector.

At the end of the program, Criminology students have the ability to:
1. Achieved eligibilities and have performed the functions required in the practice of the profession including public
safety, law enforcement, scientific crime detection, correctional administration, security industry, and other fields
related to Criminology;
2. Acquired positions and have demonstrated leadership skills, professionalism, and adherence to legal and ethical
standards; and
3. Engaged in lifelong learning through the pursuit of continuing and advanced studies, scientific and criminological
research, training, and specialized courses responding to contemporary local, national, and global issues.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES
At the end of the program, Criminology students have the ability to: Conduct criminological research on crimes, crime
causation, victims, and offenders to include deviant behavior
a. conduct criminological research on crimes, crime causation, victims, and offenders to include deviant behavior;
b. internalize the concepts of human rights and victim welfare;
c. demonstrate competence and broad understanding in law enforcement administration, public safety, and criminal
justice;
d. utilize criminalistics or forensic science in the investigation and detection of crime;
e. apply the principles and jurisprudence of criminal law, evidence, and criminal procedure;
f. ensure offenders’ welfare and development for their reintegration into the community.
