SESSION PLAN
Week 1: Orientation and Ice-Breakers
Objective: Build rapport with students, introduce the program, and set expectations.
- 5 mins: Welcome and introduction by facilitators.
- 10 mins: Icebreaker: “Two Truths and a Lie” or “Human Knot”.
- 15 mins: Discussion: “What are skills, and why do we need them?” Students share their
dreams and challenges.
- 10 mins: Program overview, objectives, and Q&A.
Week 2: Self-Awareness and Goal Setting
Objective: Develop self-awareness, identify strengths, and set personal goals.
- 5 mins: Introduction to self-awareness and goal setting with examples.
- 10 mins: Activity: “Strengths and Weaknesses” worksheet.
- 15 mins: Vision board creation: Students draw/write their aspirations.
- 10 mins: Group sharing: One goal or strength per student.
Week 3: Communication Skills
Objective: Build verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- 5 mins: Icebreaker: “Say it Without Words” (students act out phrases).
- 10 mins: Group activity: Practice introductions and speaking confidently.
- 15 mins: Role-play: Students solve a problem in pairs, focusing on clear communication.
- 10 mins: Feedback and discussion on communication styles.
Week 4: Exploring Career Options Beyond STEM
Objective: Introduce students to diverse career pathways.
