1. Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of your USB2.0 video tape converter.
You will enjoy hours of entertainment with this versatile and practical
device. You can use your new USB 2.0 video converter to archive your
holiday videos, for example, on CD or DVD. You can also record the best
scenes from a game on your console (Xbox, PlayStation, etc.) to show to
your friends.

a. Composite video cable
If you choose to run the A/V pass-through connection using the
composite video cable, you only need this cable.
b. S-Video Cable
If you choose to perform the A/V pass-through connection using S-
Video, you only need the S-Video cable.

[email protected]5. Drivers installation USB2.0 video tape converter
The USB2.0 video tape converter comes with full Windows software
utilities. These utilities can be found on the included CD ROM. During
installation, it is strongly recommended to disable any applets. These
include applications such as surveillance system software and
applications.
Insert the installation CD. The auto start page will appear on the left.
Select “Driver Installation”.
EnVivo VHS to DVD Converter: The main device you need to connect
your video camera or VCR to your PC/NB.
RCA Cable: Composite Audio/Video cable that connects your
VCR/VCR to your EnVivo Tape Converter (via multi-cable).
S-video cable: Connect the cable that is necessary to connect via s-
video. You can only use this cable if your VCR/Video camera/DVD
has S-video output!
Scart Adapter: You can connect the Scart adapter to your VHS. If
your VHS does not have RCA output, please use the scart adapter
instead. Remember to set the input/output switch to “output”.
USB Extension Cable: The USB extension cable is a small cable that
you can use to connect your EnVivo tape converter to your PC/NB
CD Driver/Software: The CD contains the driver you need to be able to
work with your EnVivo tape converter. It also contains the following
software: Honestech. Please refer to the manual for this software on the
CD.
6. How to connect
You can connect your digital camera, VCR, DVD, etc. to your PC in one
of the following 2 ways:
• ) RCA/Composite video cable connection
Connect the RCA cable to the composite video (yellow) and stereo audio

[email protected](white and red) cable directly into your VCR, DVD, etc., connect the
other end to the tape converter (connect the red and white wire from the
RCA cable to the dual red/white connector on the multi-cable). Now
connect your EnVivo tape converter to your PC/NB.
• ) RCA/ Composite video cable using scart adapter
Connect one end of the RCA cable to the scart adapter (make sure to
connect the scart, make sure to turn on the scart adapter and set it to
“OUTPUT”). Connect the scart adapter to your VCR, DVD etc. Now
connect the other end of the RCA cable to the multi-cable (connect the
red and white wire from the RCA cable to the dual red/white connector
on the multi-cable). Then connect the multi-cable at the end of the
EnVivo VHS to DVD Maker to your PC/Laptop.

[email protected]• We recommend that you plug the EnVivo VHS to DVD Maker USB 2.0
directly into your PC (preferably the back of the PC) as it may cause
a problem if you connect it via USB.
• Please make sure you plug the cables into the “OUTPUT” socket on
your VCR, DVD etc. If in doubt, please use the scart adapter and set
the plug to “OUTPUT”.
• You should use RCA cables to connect if you want to convert from
VHS or HI8 to your PC. Look for the VCR, DVD etc. connectors
(connection 1 or 2).

Software Description:
Honestech VHS to DVD Software 3.0SE software is a tool to capture
old VHS, Beta, 8mm or camcorder tapes and convert them to DVD or
other digital format.
Please install the software and discover its best features.
Once the drivers have been installed, the next step is to install
“Honestech”.
Please follow the steps below to proceed with your installation.
a) Insert the installation CD.
The auto start page will appear on the left.
Click “Honestech” to start the installation.

enter a new name for the folder or select one from the list of existing
folders. Click “Next” to begin the installation. Please wait while the
installation takes place.

l) Verify the product key
Now you have to type in the “License Key”. You can find the License
Key on the bottom left of the paper envelope that the disc is in.

Note: When writing the License Key it is very important that you write it
exactly as it is shown on the envelope. Please remember to write in
capital letters and insert hyphens.
