ATTITUDES OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL LEARNERS TOWARDS

DIGITAL
TECHNOLOGY
BACKGROUND:
Digital technology has become an integral part of our daily lives, and its
impact on education is undeniable. With the increasing use of digital
technology in schools, it is essential to understand the attitudes of senior
high school learners towards digital technology. A positive attitude towards
digital technology can enhance learners' engagement, motivation, and
learning outcomes. On the other hand, a negative attitude can lead to
resistance to change and decreased learning outcomes.platforms and
resources as well as the emergence of new learning and technological
innovations such as artificial intelligence (AI) that influence their learning
experience at a crucial time of their academic journey. It is crucial to
understand the attitudes of senior high school students towards this
advancing technology. This research aims to assess the attitudes of senior
high school learners in digital technology.

RESEARCH RELATED LITERATURE:

According to David Buckingham (2003) His work challenges simplistic
narratives about the impact of digital technology in the senior high school
learners advocating for a nuanced understanding of how learners engage
with and appropriate these technologies in their everyday lives.
Buckingham argues that public discourse surrounding digital technology
with more autonomy and control over their learning as well as encourage
the development of cognitive competencies and understanding. The
underlying modals and practices have become integral part of the
teaching, how to use new technology believe it improves learning. The
study indicate that senior high school learners have a positive attitude
towards digital technology.
The majority of learners (85%) reported that they enjoy using digital
technology for learning purposes. The survey also revealed that 80% of
learners believe that digital technology enhances their learning
experience.
Furthermore, it has been found out that modern educational technologies
and the underlying modals and practices have become integral part of the
teaching and learning process, and have showed rapid growth within the
higher education domain (Henderson et al, 2017).

MOTIVATION:

It might also give useful information to developers in the field of technology on the desires
and requirements of students such as to enable them create new solutions that are
interesting and are equipped for the current high school students in the digital age.
