Procedure

1. Mark off a given distance from the boundary line.

2. Using the given measurement, establish the first corner off proposed

building and drive peg.

3. To establish our second corner, measure the distance from the first corner

to the second corner (6.1m from the first corner)

4. Using the 3:4:5 triangle, establish square at the first corner

5. Make a measurement of 4.3m to establish our third corner*

6. By using the measurement of the width and length establish the fourth

corner drive peg.

7. Cord off the four points representing the building line

8. Check the squareness of the building by using the diagonals and framing

square.

9. At an appropriate distance from the building line drive stake

10. Transfer the datum point to the profile board using the line level and

cord.

11. Mount the profile board

12. Using the spirit level and the cord line transfer the building line to profile

board.
13. Mark off block position and foundation position.

14. Using screws and nails to represent the position of the wall and trench.

15. Use cords to represent the wall and bock position.

16. Excavate.
